Great song.
A half century later: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vbuYhCJunQc
I saw Jay Black at the Trenton State last year and he sang this song as if it was 50 years ago without missing a note.
Great voice!
They just don’t make music like that anymore.
About 30 minutes ago, the oldies radio show played that song. Wow.
They also played “on the road again” by Canned Heat, “rocket man” by Elton, really a lot of good songs when I was just out in the car.
It makes me wonder, the initial post is time-dated 6:26, that might have been about the time it was on the radio.
David Whitfield’s version of “Cara Mia,” from 1954, is my favorite. The song was co-written by Annunzio P. Mantovani, who directed the orchestra that backed Whitfield.
Walkin’ in the Rain is my favorite Jay & and the Americans song

Donald Trump look-a-like? Or twins?
Ditto that. What a voice!

I was a sophomore in high school when this record came out.
