New National Poll Tells Different Story Than Media Narrative
Western Journalism ^ | 8/26/2016 | Jack Davis

A new poll shows Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump leading Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton.

The USC Dornsife/Los Angeles Times Daybreak tracking poll, which tracks Americans’ support for the presidential candidates on a daily basis, showed Trump leading Clinton 44.3 percent to 43.6 percent as of Friday.

The poll, which unlike other polls tracks the same population over time, represents a significant comeback for Trump, who as of Aug. 14 was trailing Clinton 46.3 percent to 41.6 percent.

Feel free to contact management and have me tossed.
Until then I’ll post my opinions.

We’re heading for an election where the old rules and formulas don’t apply. The 2014 election was a precursor of a new and unknown election result.

Off year elections aren't predictive of presidential elections

Gihugic GOP win in 94 yet Clinton re-elected in 96

Got it! GOPe / DEMe / E, for you.

Please point out the GOP candidate, who is willing to put it on the line, that we overlooked.

I’m not sure there is one.
It’s like saying Ronald Reagan could win Gov in California.
Some things just aren’t the same.

“Off year elections aren’t predictive of presidential elections”

BS

Completely blowing poll predictions is indicative of the propaganda press not having a clue what they’re doing.
The propaganda press completely getting wrong the Trump Republican nomination is a signpost that the leftist media is wandering in the desert, looking for a clue.

You might be right. Trump needs more than the majority of white voters to win. Sad but true. In national presidential elections, the gimmedats show up and vote.

Their ethnic breakdown is strange. It showed a jump in Black support for Trump from about 3% to over 12%, which was great. It stayed there for about 4 days, then dropped back down to 3% again. An odd blip.

I would say calling someone a disgrace is disgraceful to the forum, except that it's actually a bit of a tradition around here...

“Hillary Clinton voters don’t like ventriloquists.”

Hilarious. Same logic as the NYT.

Worth noting: A few weeks ago the media and the Democrats threw everything they had at Trump. The Democrats made up lies and the media wrote hit piece after hit piece. There was a solid week of continuous, over-the-top bad news for Trump. Trump weathered that artificial storm and has risen steadily since then.

Trump is very hard to knock down and impossible to keep down. Unlike Mitt Romney and John McCain, Trump is fearless and fights back. I admire his tenacity. He will finish strong.

I’m expected to believe that pollsters are dead-eye accurate for presidential elections but completely miss off-year election polls by 10, 12 or 14 points.

How does that happen? Why do pollsters fall apart and sling utter crap in non-presidential elections? Is everyone incurious? Have pollsters’ methodologies been scientifically tested - ever?

I am commenting on the fact that there is a different turn out for presidential polls than off years

Dems were slaughtered in 94 yet Clinton won in 96

GOP had big wins in 2010 yet Obama won in 2012

Hope this year is different since the GOP candidate for president in 96 and 2012 were pathetic
