Talk-radio host Rush Limbaugh made an important point on Monday when he stated that the establishment press (mainstream media) is almost singularly spearheading the presidential campaign of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. The candidate is keeping a surprisingly low profile, leaving her surrogates in the press to focus on diminishing her opponent on a daily basis.
Now, we realize that the press almost singularly spearheaded the presidential campaign of one Barack Hussein Obama in 2008, but in that case the candidate was spry enough to participate vigorously in his campaign, rather than being held together with duct tape and arcane incantations like the funereal billionaire Montgomery Burns in The Simpsons. Obama was under less scrutiny than Clinton currently faces, but in this case, the press must endure despite the candidates near-absence from the campaign itself.
In a large measure, the treachery of the press is even more stark now than it was in the case of Obama because Clinton already has a legacy of serial treason. Limbaugh went on to point out that largely as a result of the press, very few of those voting for her will have a meaningful working knowledge of her record.
Then, considering the superficiality of the electorate in general, it is likely that many will vote for Clinton because they feel its time we had a woman president (just as in 2008 they felt it was time we had a black one).

The Ministry of Propaganda IS her campaign.
They are doing all the campaigning for her because she is unable to.
While she is hiding her obvious frailty from the public.
Old fart fuddy duddy that I am, I remember learning about “crown” as a verb..... I knew there was such a thing as coronation - a ceremonial act of crowning someone.
I’ve even heard of coronated (oddly).....but I put ‘coronate’ (even “coronated”) in the same category of those that use “conversate” for “converse.”
The last time this was tried, I think, was 1896, When William McKinley stayed at home in Canton, OH, and using corporate money to pay for attacks on his opponent, while William Jennings Bryan had more campaign rallies than any previous candidate, over 500 IIRC. It worked for McKinley, but he was a better "product" than the present Dem candidate, so whether it will work this time is problematic.
My wife, a Canadian whose English leans British-English, dislikes the way Americans provide quotes, rather than quotations. (She also thinks the way we spell jewelry is silly.)
the press must endure
FU
Die.
“Ministry of Propaganda” is the correct word.
I’ve (a lot of others, too) have come to realize that the OOP (Office of Propaganda) has been, by the hour hammering on the “scary” things Donald Trump will surely do if elected.
What Disturbs me is that the Director of Propaganda has ordered that NO TIME AT ALL is to be spent on critiquing the things that Hillary Clinton has ACTUALLY DONE.
Any American pol, whose last name ends with the letter (R) would already ben in prison, and for a real long time.
We’ve become a nation where you are “Not judged by the color of your skin, nor your faith or your personality, but by the LAST letter of your name.”
Yup. Kinda weird huh. Owwwww. Trump did some bankruptcies. Owwww. Haridan hildabama possibly exposed confidential info on a private hackable server. Meh. Owww. Trumps hair is questionable. Owww. The clintoon foundation took money from foreigners while she was SOS in order to gain access. Meh.
But the Queen said that she was perfectly healthy and the victim of a smear campaign on the Jimmy Kimmel Show. Why she even opened a pickle jar on the show! All the reports and photos of the doc who got canned for being too obvious when injecting her onstage to the one who slapped her hand away from her face when she about to have a fit to the pics of people having to help her up the steps are all just lies I tell you! Lies!
(There is another way to spell "jewelry"?)
Exactly. I cringe when I see the word ‘coronate’ Please use the verb ‘crown’. It’s even a shorter word and easy to spell.
What Disturbs me is that the Director of Propaganda has ordered that NO TIME AT ALL is to be spent on critiquing the things that Hillary Clinton has ACTUALLY DONE.
The goal of the press is not really to hide what Hillary has done or her incompetence, but to try to make Trump look worse in comparison.
I could just barely see it as a sort of Miltonic adjectival participle — “behold the Royal Head coronate” — but even thus am not convinced it works. To use it as a synonym for the verb to crown is just silly and illiterate.
It is frankly the laziness of ill-educated people, even journalists if you can believe it. They hear the word “Coronation” and can’t think about whether they’ve ever heard the words “ to crown a king” and make the correct connection. So they see “coronation” and automatically assume “coronate” is the proper verb. Go figure, huh?
I think it’s going to (and it’s already started) be entertaining to sequentially run through the Clinton excuse repository wrt her dealings with the Clinton Foundation.
You know....”hey, it’s a charity”...”well, we have expenses, you know”. “We have a very skilled staff and we need them to perform our good works”....”Well our landlord raised our rent”....we have already corrected our tax returns for the years in question so there is no there there”...we rely upon Chelsea’s extensive business skills for our operations and feel we have to pay her what she is worth”...
The extent of the CF corruption and blatant theft and bribery is far, far beyond what most people can even imagine, and I specifically *do* mean, in their wildest dreams. It’s very likely among the top ten bribery and corruption scandals in US history.
Like “orientate”. So pompous.
And yes, journalists are some of the worst-educated, most illiterate and ignorant people you will ever meet.
The media was all in for bubba back in the day.
They are now campaigning for another Clinton.
They have no clue that they are participating in their own demise.
