I’m tired of hearing about the problems of heroin addicts.

I’ve known users. When someone is using, they have, literally, lost their humanity. There is literally nothing they won’t do for their next hit.

My wife is a “Big sister” to a 13 year old girl in our town. The girl’s mother died of a heroine overdose last week.

There are a lot of dry counties around here. Ours is one of them. I recently learned that not only are drunk driving deaths and injuries per capita higher in dry counties, but so is illegal drug use. It’s the old conundrum: You push here, and it pops out there.

I worked in a big city ER for many,many years.I've met a heroin addict or two.I've seen one or two heroin ODs.The first one I saw was literally dead on arrival...got some Narcan (aka: naloxone)...and was trying to leave 5 minutes later.A true miracle drug.

I'd strongly support the DP for heroin dealers...first offense.I'd strongly support the DP for possession/use for the second offense.

I would be okay with that..as long as someone using street drugs were willing to sign a medical waiver stating they will not get, nor will the government pay for, their medical help.

Heroin is now cheaper than marijuana. This is effecting the WHOLE country. Kids can't afford a joint but heroin is cheap. (No advocating any drug use here).

That reminds me of a pal of mine who was caught by his mom sucking freon from canned photography lens cleaner (Dustoff). When she found him, she yelled, "Why can't you just smoke pot like the rest of the kids?"

I was on Fentynal for 6 yrs for major back and nerve issues. I am perplexed that people are getting high from this stuff.

I have never felt any sort of euphoria from Fentynal. But I didn’t screw around with it either. The potential of overdose was beaten into me by my Dr. My quality of life was 10 fold than what it is now, on OxyContin..

I just don’t understand the attraction to it. What can they possibly get out of it?
