Today was a really busy day, BUT not a regular payday Wednesday, so the “deadline” for corrections for this week is 8:30a Thursday morning instead of 12 noon Wednesday.

I got thrown into a project that took me several hours to complete.

I’ve finally settled down, and now falling asleep. Can’t wait for the weekend.

Actually, I signed up in 2000 the day after the Bush-Gore election. I had been active on the Newsmax forum as "Political Junkie" when I first learned of Free Republic and how intimidating it supposedly was. Newsmax announced it was closing its forum, so I took the plunge and moved over here.

"Political Junkie" was already taken but had no posts - I guess a sleeper ID in the making? Since it was inactive, I decided to add the "2" and use it. If it had been used at all, I would have taken a completely different name.

It is a shortened version of an old screenname that people said was too long. Previous screen name was "CoolMultiserviceSoldier" I chose that name because I have served in the National Guard, Navy Reserve, and currently active duty Army.

Intersection of 2nd and 3rd order intermod products... Cool name... I used to specify amps and microwave components. Always looked for that value. One trick manufacturers used to embellish the value was not saying input or output IP..... it makes a difference.... :0)

I’ve elaborated on this once or twice since I joined. Gaffer has three meanings.

1) Old fart (I am one)
2) electrician (I was a licensed Class III electrician once)
3) someone prone to making verbal or written gaffs (I am certainly guilty of that)

But really, I use the name Gaffer because it can be typed with the fingers of my left hand. Frees up the right hand for the mouse. :0)
