Trump may yet manage to get into their heads. He’s bluntly asked the obvious, like “what have you got to lose with the GOP”? Questions that their fantasy world won’t brook, but surely they have reasons to be disgruntled about where they are.

The main issue should not be "being taken for granted." The main issue should be that the Obama/Clinton identification with the neighborhood bullies, rather than the decent law-abiding neighbors; really is an impediment to getting the adequate law enforcement that many really crave--even if afraid to speak out against the Michael Browns, et al., bullying the neighborhood.
The silent element--even if still a minority--could be the key to a 30% Trump vote, where Romney only got 5%. And you would rescue millions now living in fear.
