Sharpie is rather like the character ‘Kingfish’ in the Amos N’ Andy radio and television series.

Too bad the NAACP had the television show cancelled because they believed it held negroes up to ridicule. It actually presented them in a more loveable way, unlike the rioting and murderous thugs we see on television daily.

I watched that show on re-run as a toddler. How I loved it! A warm, loving representation of African-Americans when they were still Negros and lived lives of hard work and respect. Hilariously funny, too!

I’m surprised the NAACP hasn’t disappeared Sanford & Son.

“It actually presented them in a more loveable way, unlike the rioting and murderous thugs we see on television daily.”

Makes one question the motives.
