Anyone know: do you have to pay that $200 federal fee for each suppressed firearm? Or just the suppressor.
Can you use the same suppressor on a 9mm and 7.62X39?
You need to Pay the $200 tax stamp for each NFA item. And there are hybrid suppressors which can be used on both rifle and pistol, but they are not as effective as specialized suppressors, and I think that goes without saying. But it is an option for the budget minded.
You can use the same suppressor on multiple firearms. The tax is for the suppressor itself. They don’t have to be the same caliber. A .45 suppressor on a 9mm pistol doesn’t suppress as well as a 9mm suppressor, but it does reduce the decibels.
Obviously you can’t use a 9mm suppressor on a .45.
The hardest part of the whole process is paying upfront a thousand dollars or more and walking out of the store with only a receipt.
I could not imagine spending 30,000 on a MG and only getting a receipt.
Just the suppressor. I use my Yankee Hill with my 308 and my 300 BO. You just need the muzzle adapter.
