Yeah, but it’s quite a drive to get to the outdoor range way up in the mountains.

I’m lazy.

FYI, it's illegal to even attempt to build one without first applying for the tax stamp.

The BATFE would love to catch you doing so.

I waited 10 months for the tax stamp on my first can, 5 on the 2nd and 6 for the third. I am now enjoying what will be an even longer process as I wait for the 4 additional cans I bought in order to beat 41F. And, to add insult to injury, ATF cashes your check in 2 weeks or less.

Same here for suppressors ..... multiuse .

30 caliber Surefire SOCOM, Gemtech 45 caliber Blackside and a Tactical Solutions
.22 caliber Cascade are really nice items for the toolbox. A few more in the pipeline averaging about 4 to five months till the paperwork / stamp come back.

My hearing is really better now. I can hear what everybody is writing at FR now !:o)

Was recently in europe. No restrictions on suppressors. They sell em like ear plugs. America needs to see these for what they are. A hearing safety device as they “reduce” the noise versus “silence” the noise. Silly tax crap here that congress needs to fix.

Favorite rig for local predator control is a Rem model 7 in 300 blackout with the SOCOM suppressor. Coyotes and wild hogs here in Texas are a problem and we go after em 24 / 7 here.

No need to wake up folks when ya eliminate such vermin.

I am waiting on my 3rd. Check was cashed in March so according to NFA Tracker, it should be any day now.

Easy to do but ya must go legal route, paperwork etc . Its to easy to go the legal route versus illegal. Very easy to do, many designs available for free. Here is a clean example.

Just the suppressor. I use my Yankee Hill with my 308 and my 300 BO. You just need the muzzle adapter.

My Octane 9 Form 4 is the oldest of the bunch, going in in late March also. I am cautiously optimistic that it will beat the mad rush of July 13th. If you have seen pictures of the pickup load of Form 4s sent in by Silencer Shop it is not encouraging.

I have long maintained that if suppressors were a new invention they would be mandated by OSHA.

“for the prevention of hearing loss.”

It’s like pistol grips and adjustable stocks which make the carbine more manageable and allow people with a smaller reach to fire it safely: the Hoplophobes are more concerned with form than substance. It’s pure `Wesayso.’

$180,000,000 tax to save gun owners hearing! When is enough enough?

Correct.... agree !00% ! They are no less that hearing protection that reduces noise around 30 to 40 decibels .

But .... I side on the freedom to wear safety glasses or not versus being made to wear em analogy. :o)

You are correct. I am not advocating a mandate but just pointing out the stupidity of having to pay a $200 tax and then wait months to take delivery of something that should be readily available over the counter.

I concur.
The “boating accident” meme is cowardly.
