DIMONDALE, Michigan
Republican Donald Trump again made a direct appeal to black voters Friday night, urging them to abandon the Democratic Party and give him a chance.
Speaking at a rally in Dimondale, Michigan, an overwhelmingly white suburb outside of Lansing, the GOP nominee argued that Democrats, including his rival Hillary Clinton, have taken advantage of African-American voters and taken their votes for granted.
"Tonight, I'm asking for the vote of every single African-American citizen in this country who wants to see a better future," Trump told the crowd.
"What do you have to lose by trying something new, like Trump?" he asked them. "You're living in your poverty, your schools are no good, you have no jobs, 58 percent of your youth is unemployed — what the hell do you have to lose?"
He also made a bold prediction: "At the end of four years, I guarantee you that I will get over 95 percent of the African-American vote. I promise you."
Most polls show Trump trailing Clinton significantly among black voters. President Barack Obama won roughly 93 percent of black voters in his re-election campaign in 2012.
But Trump once again accused Clinton of "bigotry," claiming she sees African-Americans "only as votes, not as human beings worthy of a better future,"

Some percentage want those, but most want jobs.
The Mexicans mostly are Roman Catholics with socially fairly conservative values, mostly anyway. AND as many Mexicans manage to improve their lives in USA, they begin to resent the Democratic policies that keep dragging them back down...
Methinks the D’s cannot keep relying on such tremendous D vote majorities. They are on the wrong side of both social and economic issues for Latinos citizens of USA
(and the only way the D’s hang onto that voting bloc is to keep banging the racist drum ... which obviously works but, imho, is already beginning to wear thin with Latinos citizens). In short, DTrump can capture a good number of Latino (AND BLACK) votes.... if he campaigns for them, that is.

True,but he addressed his statement to blacks who want to see a better future——and most of them would most likely be the poor.

Actually he did not. He said he wants all African-Americans to vote for him then said "you live in poverty, etc". The black middle-class notice stuff like that. As usual Trump means well but he is generally pretty sloppy with his words.
I was reading what was in quotes so I assume that is what he said.

He doesn’t NEED this job, nor does he need to be re-elected and play weasel-word games.
He’s doing it because he can, and he’s the only one who can.

CORRECT.Mexicans control California,Arizona,New Mexico and on their way to owning Texas.Dems never had enough black votes to control entire states ..Blacks would have to vote 5-6 Times to get any where..Mexicans keep pouring over the border,all they need are the big electoral states and bye bye everyone else.
Have had 2 Uber drivers both black men both ex military. Both told me as soon as I got in that they where Trump voters. One even laughed and said “bet you didn’t expect that”.
One black woman in Detroit. Uber again. Trump again.
Maybe my sample size is large enough or Uber is biased but “somethin’s happenin here, what it is ain’t exactly clear....”.

I live in an area with many middle and upper middle class blacks... they are generally embarrassed by their lesser inclined counterparts, in the same way as lower class whites can be pretty embarrassing. I seriously don’t think they will care, and like their Caucasian SEC counterparts will vote dem if they live in blue areas. Trumps message is smart... there are a lot of younger black kids who already hate Hillary. They may not go out and vote for Trump, but they won’t be voting for Hillary either.
Of course, you could also run for president. With your superior know how, you should be a sure thing.
The liberal pundit spin on this is that it’s not genuine and is only being said by Trump to appeal to the middle class, white republican voters he’s lost who are terrified of anything associated with racism.
And also, that it’s not genuine because he’s talking AT black people instead of going into their neighborhoods to talk to them directly.
Quite disgusting of them.
