The USC Dornsife/Los Angeles Times "Daybreak" poll released Thursday had a stunning finding: Donald Trump's support among African-Americans had increased by over 10 points virtually overnight.
Armand Emamdjomeh and David Lauter, who wrote the narrative accompanying that poll, predictably ignored it, but they did even more. Readers here will see that their verbiage in the section specifically addressing "By race/ethnicity" pretended that the shift hasn't even occurred (dashed box around the "Black" box added by me):
Emamdjomeh and Lauter are hoping that readers don't see the visually small movement above.
While blacks still "lean heavily towards Clinton," a look at the change in the numbers during the past week shows that Trump's support among blacks has gone from a virtually nonexistent 1 in 30-40 to about 1 in 7:
The timing of the shift occurred just after the August 13-14 rioting in Milwaukee, even though the poll's methodology says that "We update the data each day based on the weighted average of poll responses over the previous week." In other words, even now, the poll results still don't fully include interviews conducted during or after the riots.
This could be an outlier, but if there has been similar double-digit shift to a Republican candidate and from a Democratic candidate among black voters in at least the past 40 years of presidential polling during the final 90 days before the election, I don't recall it.

Trump needs NY and Pennsy. If he wins those two states its over.
It’s a matter of moving the electorate a few points in states like VA, NC, WI, IA, and OH.
That is a great move on his part. In fact legal American Hispanics don't much like the illegals either.
The Dems put Hispanic illegal aliens over black Americans and they put Islamists above gays and women (acutally, they put Islamists way, way ahead of everyone else that I can think of).
There is a problem.
Plus with having to serve all the Spanish speakers, the Americans who speak only English are disadvantaged for all service industry jobs because we don't require speaking English for access to everything.
This also kills tons of jobs especially for black youth.

Huh? What crap are you reading? TRUMP has the “electoral college sewn up.” He has FL, NV, OH, PA according to actual unbiased polls (i.e., D/R splits that are in line with Gallup).
It’s soon going to be so obvious even the lying drive-bys will have to admit this. Quinnipiac and others can only jimmy poll samples so long.
The earlier poll showing Trump up by 6, while perhaps questionable, nevertheless likewise picked up a sharp swing by blacks toward Trump (six fold?)
Win or lose Trump has laid before black people forever that now they cause their own future. One of the results of democracy.
He brought up Trump and said: "I'm voting for him. Everyone I know is."
He went on to emphasize that allowing an open border to exist is crazy. Specifically he referred to it as being: "beso de la muerte" (Kiss of death)
I believe there are a lot more people like him who are not being counted in the polls.
That’s because blacks are already voting Democrat in their own names - now they need more illegals to vote in the names of the dead and relocated. :)
The same LA Times poll that shows Trump getting 13.6% Black also shows him getting 32% Hispanic. A few % more in each group and Trump will walk away with a big win.
This is called voter suppression. There is a reason why Jefferson advocated periodic revolutions
If blacks wanted to know the truth they would watch Hillary’s America.
But they don’t want the truth, they just want the FREE goodies. Hard to compete with Santa Claus.
Judging by some videos going around on social media, you might see more of this. There’s black people on the ground at intersections in FL with T-Shirts that say Republicans aren’t Racist, spreading the word.

Pollsters give the results that they are paid to give. The whole idea is to manipulate the low information voters.
If he gets a substantial Black turnout in Jackson, it will be noticed elsewhere where the Black vote can make a difference.

Today, NBC, I think it was, claimed Trump was at 1% of the black vote. 1 in 30 or 40 would be 2.5%-3.3%. If they’re saying he’s gone to 1 in 7 (14%), that would be about normal for a Republican.
I don’t know that any of that would be enough to tip anything, unless turnout is way down.
Now polls on Trump have been all over the place (an early election season poll showed Trump at 25% of the black vote, which would be very high for a Republican).
Yes, there is. Pray without ceasing. If Donald Trump gets a national lead of two points he wins the Electoral College. 538 estimates there is only a 0.9% chance that Trump would lose the Electoral College if he won the popular vote.
