Donald Trump landed Friday in flood-ravaged Louisiana Friday, where he consoled homeowners and toured devastated communities, telling one homeowner he is "going to rebuild."
The Republican presidential nominee, with running mate Mike Pence at his side, stopped at the home of Jimmy and Olive Gordan in Denham Springs, where the couple was still sweeping out floodwaters from their home. A ruined couch, chair and bedroom furniture were piled on their lawn, and Jimmy Gordan told Trump he spent his 79th birthday on the roof of his house.
"I just don't know what we'll do," the man told Trump.
"You're going to rebuild,” Trump told him as the two hugged. “It's going to be so beautiful."
Trump and Pence received a warm reception as they toured a heavily-damaged portion of East Baton Rouge Parish. A crowd of supporters near a local Baptist church where volunteers have gathered to feed flood victims cheered the pair.
"Thank you for coming, Mr. Trump," one woman screamed.
"We knew you would be here for us!" another shouted.

Me too. I never watched apprentice and knew he detested Rosie O’donnell, so I figured he couldn’t be all bad!
But when he made that announcement speech....I thought I was listening to Duncan Hunter again! If Hunter had made it in 2008, we know what the media would have done to him because we are watching it now being used against Trump.

After Donald Trump visited Louisiana to help unload supplies for victims ravaged by the massive, unprecedented flooding, former Sen. Mary Landrieu (D) thanked the GOP nominee and actually called out Hillary Clinton and President Obama for refusing to visit.

Meanwhile, Obama is has remained on vacation at Martha’s Vineyard, while Clinton has yet to even make an official statement on the flooding.

Appearing on CNN, former U.S. Sen. Mary Landrieu, a Democrat, also praised Trump’s trip.
“I want to thank Mr. Trump for coming to Louisiana,” she said. “He brought attention to our state and we need that now.”
Landrieu said she hopes that Clinton and Obama will make similar trips to Louisiana in the coming days.
“It’s really a serious disaster,” she said. “We need all the attention and help we can get.”

Wow, he spent most of the time listening to the relief personnel then at the end went to the crowd and signed hats. They were vocal supporters.

Excellent videos of Mr. Trump and Mr. Pence with local citizens. Excellent! Donald Trump is so much like an ordinary guy. In one video seeing him walk inside a home, the back of his right pant leg was stuck in his boot! I chuckled...so ordinary! So good!

Every where Trump goes, the people love him. Must drive the media and Hillary bonkers! I just hope the public sees it in spite of the lamestream media.
Trump will be criticized for "bad optics". There are too many white people in the video.
