BS the police have every right to pull you off a plane in 99.9% of countries.

Okay, well, that is true. But were they drunk, disorderly or causing a commotion or threatening people? I should have clarified.

They were pulled off of the plane for some strange reason.

And thanks for the "BS" comment. /s

There's no reason to be rude.

I'm getting off of this thread because I don't know international law well enough to comment further, so please don't post to me again. Thanks.

The comment was BS in the most smelly meaning of the term. It’s a great english phrase indicating a specific meaning. Sorry you find it rude.

What “strange reason” was it they were detained from the plane?

You can’t fire al those bullets and then tell others to shut up. Just don’t respond and we’re done.

Okay, I am not sure. But you said the “police” have every right to pull you off a plane.”

Perhaps that is true if the people being pulled off the plane are wanted for something, but these people were not.

But a captain of a plane can order passengers off if they are deemed a threat, I think. ?

Anyway, it is very strange. I hope Brazil lets them go home soon.
