Okay, I am not sure. But you said the “police” have every right to pull you off a plane.”

Perhaps that is true if the people being pulled off the plane are wanted for something, but these people were not.

But a captain of a plane can order passengers off if they are deemed a threat, I think. ?

Anyway, it is very strange. I hope Brazil lets them go home soon.

Do you know why they were pulled off? You know that witnesses can be pulled off. You know filing a false police report is a crime? You know some one may have accused them falsely and the cops have to investigate to see if it’s false or not or do medal winners get the benefit of a doubt? Not saying what they did, just saying I can think of half a dozen reasons it’s legitimate to do what the Brazilians did.

and yes a captain can do based on passenger complaint, crew report and so on. I can’t understand the uproar over this. If it’s costs an extra day, then so be it.
