We have a congress?
Half of them are trying to get re-elected
and promising anything to the electorate
and then return to their compliant ways to support "open Borders"
That the electorate opposes
Gotta keep buying the power and money that gets them re-elected , don'cha know !

This is another example of corrupt Congress letting faceless federal bureaucrats outside the legislative branch get away with stealing and exercising legislative branch powers. By doing so corrupt lawmakers are able to keep their voting records clean so that they can fool low-information patriots into reelecting them imo.
