More than 120 Republicans tell RNC to cut off funds to Donald Trump
CBS News ^ | 8/16/2016 | Rebecca Shabad

A letter that urges the Republican National Committee to cut off funds to Donald Trump has collected more than 120 signatures from current and former elected officials, according to the final version obtained by CBS News.

The letter, which will be delivered to RNC Chairman Reince Priebus Tuesday, includes two sitting members of Congress and 27 former RNC staffers, among many others.

"Given the catastrophic impact that Donald Trump's losing presidential campaign will have on down-ballot Senate and House races, we urge you to immediately suspend all discretionary RNC support for Trump and focus the entirety of the RNC's available resources on preserving the GOP's congressional majorities," says the letter, whose draft CBS reported on last week when there were already 70 signatures.

It adds that Trump's chances of winning in November are "evaporating by the day."

Reps. Reid Ribble, Wisconsin and Scott Rigell, R-Virginia, have signed the letter. Both lawmakers are retiring from Congress at the end of the year and Ribble had endorsed Ted Cruz for president during the primaries and Rigell recently endorsed Libertarian Gary Johnson.

The letter was signed by Republicans who have served in every GOP administration since President Ronald Reagan, nine advisers on the last nine GOP presidential campaigns as well as former congressional aides.

They warn that Trump is a threat to House and Senate Republicans up for re-election and that the RNC should only focus on those down-ballot races instead.

"We believe that Donald Trump's divisiveness, recklessness, incompetence, and record-breaking unpopularity risk turning this election into a Democratic landslide, and only the immediate shift of all available RNC resources to vulnerable Senate and House races will prevent the GOP from drowning with a Trump-emblazoned anchor around its neck," the letter says.

Notice something. “Former staffers.” “Retiring congressmen.”

That’s the best the lamestream can do?

If there ever was an endorsement this is it, just another reason to vote for him. Probably the ones against him are most likely all the ones always voting in lockstep with the democrats anyway.

If this country ever was in dire need for change Trump is it. He may not be the perfect answer, but light years above the crap which has been served up so far by this corrupt administration, which unfortunately includes many so called republicans.

As I posted earlier, in another thread, taking a stab at understanding the derangement that seems to infect the Trump haters:

"Above all, they are confused. While some of them have fairly high IQs--not very high, but fairly high--they are not functional on the subject of Donald Trump.

Like those I describe as "Mipips,", on the Left, they are confused to the extent of being dysfunctional by their inability to accept that Trump can triumph over the PC mindset that has up until the present emasculated the NeverTrumpers. (There may be other factors in the irrational hatred for the one candidate who puts America & the Americans first; but I really think that most of them hate him, because he has exposed their personal inadequacy!) "If anyone has a better understanding of the malady, I will be happy to stand corrected."

Since Trump has a better chance of raising substantial funds than do these detractors, their advice is for the RNC to shoot themselves in the foot. That, of course, would not bother CBS, but it says something of the mental processes of the 120.

What we need, on our side, is to keep calm. To quietly assess the ammunition that we have for this fall campaign--which is staggeringly in our favor;--all Mrs. Clinton has on her side are the lies and hand wringing of the kooks & a corrupt media--and prepare for the fray. The factual background--the well known not at all obscure factual background--is more in our favor than that of any side of any Presidential political campaign in the past Century or more.

It seems considerable funding sources are no longer available to the RINO’s at the RNC.

Go ask Stabby the Clown and RejecTED how well it works to stab Americans in the back.

How many years did these same anal orifices demand we hold our nose and vote for their GOPe candidate?

I REFUSE to vote for ANY down ticket "R" now and for as long as I am able to vote. I'm done with the traitorous wretches.

So ... what are you doing instead? Voting Democrat? Libertarian? Green? No vote at all?

No. It is worse that that. It is treachery. The Republicans no longer try to hide their uniting with the Democrat Party. They proudly open about it.

If we had an RNC worth its salt, it would immediately kick these 120 people out of the party.

We do not have and RNC worth its salt.

We should kick its leadership out of the party. Get new leadership, and send those 120 people packing, delayed but still necessary.

let me see....

based on the primaries, multiplied millions of conservatives want Donald to throw 180 candy-a$$ed traitors OUT of the country or into PRISON.

as a bare minimum, they need to be revoked as members of the republican party....

Found the letter....can't copy however, this excerpt, copied: The letter goes on to detail "outrages" which have "alienated millions of voters of all parties," ranging from Trump's attacks on the Khan family to his call for Russia to release Democratic opponent Hillary Clinton's emails and his proposed ban on Muslim immigration. Among the more than 70 signees are former RNC staffers and former congressmen.

The MSM and Democratic operatives thoroughly fabricated this "attack" on Khizr Khan, showed the immigration lawyers ties to the Clinton's and other shady practices :

The "call on Russia to release Hillary's e-mails" was of course meant as a joke by Trump...again the MSM and Dem operatives fabricated lies/had a field day!

The ban on ALL immigrants, visitors coming from COUNTRIES WHO SUPPORT TERRORISTS OR HARBOR THEM WITHIN THEIR BORDERS.....WILL NOT BE ALLOWED. ALL WHO ARE ALLOWED WILL BE VETTED AND LAWS ENFORCED. so much for the truth of this letter to dis Trump......

And Trump's running a campaign using very effective use of social media (Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and Twitter) for the cost of a bag of peanuts, while Hillary is spending massive amounts of money on more traditional TV ads.

Trump has yet to unleash the funds for TV ads--which may start very soon. Or maybe he'll run a series of "infomercial" videos on YouTube, Vimeo, DailyMotion and Facebook video for the cost of a small meal to effectively bypass the MSM.

Right now, I don’t give a damn if every Republican Senator and Congressman lost (save for a few like Jeff Sessions).

What have any of them done for me?

In reality, these idiots don’t realize that if they (THEY, not the Democrats) take Trump down, it is the end of the Republican Party, and deservedly so. But they think that after Trump is defeated, everything will revert back to normal.

Nope! It’s all over guys. People like me will no longer be there.
And after four years of Hillary with Ryan’s help and support, America will exist only in name. We will be envious of Venezuela.
