In an interview with NPR today, Beck likened “Black Lives Matter” to someone sitting at a table and “everybody gets pie except for you.” Beck said if that person complains “my pie matters” and the response they get it “all pie matters,” then “it shows that the people at the table aren’t really listening.”

His analogy has been on the internet for at least a few weeks. It’s absurd in it assumes there’s a problem. If everyone got a piece of pie but one person kept insisting they were shortchanged and didn’t get enough pie, how far are you willing to go to placate that person?
BLM is built on the presumption blacks are treated unfairly. Explaining to them how they aren’t isn’t ignoring them. It’s treatig then like adults and expecting them to be rational.

Did the pie not want to be eaten by black pie eaters? Why is the pie being animated? Does this make the pie racist? What if receipt of too much pie makes the over indulger get real fat, should this devalue the pie and inverse Glen’s inversion.
