Prayers up. People do NOT need to go through this. However, when you build on swampland, you’ve kinda got to expect this from time to time.
(And that’s nobody’s fault except for the people who thought this was A Good Idea in the first place...and yes, I have friends in LA, and yes, I’ve lived there/done Army Training in said swamps. Blah, blah, blah.)

The Florida parishes of LA are not swampland. They are low rolling countryside. Do you have any ides what 15-20 inches of rain can do? Show a little compassion for people in trouble if you can.
George Bush was completely responsible for the weather that brought Katrina (had his very own weather machine!), so I’m waiting for the media (yo, Shepard Smith, where are you?) to hang this storm on Obama, he should have known it would happen and been prepared..damn him!
