Wow, happened sooner than I thought and I thought my country (Canada) would get there first. Didn’t Virginia face this in colonial times when Anglicanism was the “official” church?

Yes, my chief worry (here in Canada) has been one day someone will speak on homosexuality and the government will come down hard. But now I realize the church will just self-censor. They will say “there is no purpose in discussing one sin over the others” and nothing more will be said about sexual issues.

Denmark, the Denmark of Hirsi Ali was very strong on free speech during her immigration there from Kenya, but I think that has changed. Here in Canada and the UK, free speech is under attack by out of control defamation laws and human rights tribunals, so yes, the US is now unique.

What really surprised me is the fact that this is happening in Iowa of all places. Northern Iowa is on my short list of places to which to relocate in a few years as I have always looked upon Iowa as sort of a “freedom outpost”. Very troubling, and doesn’t bode well for the rest of the nation on the religious freedom front.

I think most of us share your sentiment, but we have been complacent. The statist / globalists have called our bluff and we appear to be folding. They no longer fear us since we haven't given them a reason to do so.

We now know for sure that both the red and the blue team are working against those of us who value our constitutional liberties since it is easier to rule over dependent sheeple. The question is: What are we actually going to do about it? The ballot box option doesn't seem to be working as we have given the repubs victories in the midterm elections with nothing to show for it.

I am not sure what Plan B is, or if we have the collective fortitude to put it into action.

unfortunately that is true. We long ago surrendered our right to freedom of assembly and now we have to put up with people we would normally not associate with.

Discrimination due to race is not a good idea (it’s actually a very poor business decision), but it is a Constitutional right and the government needs to get off our backs and let us be free to assemble with whom we want.
