Gary Johnson's Campaign To Make Hillary President

This is the summer of Gary Johnson. The former New Mexico governor who has been steadily drifting left over his career is now doing his best to make Hillary Clinton into President Hillary Clinton. Back in 1999, Johnson rejected overtures from the Libertarian Party for a presidential run. “I'm a Republican, and I'm not going to run for President.'” Both parts of that statement proved to be lies.

Johnson no doubt believes that - as in Lenin’s Russia - those who aid and abet the revolution will be the first in line for the dachas and the reserved supermarkets.

A quick review of history reveals, however, thet they were put up against the wall with everyone else.

Venezuela, here we come!

The people who said Trump would have electability problems because moderates would not be willing to vote for him are probably feeling pretty smug seeing Johnson at 10% in the polls.

This inconsequential little turd will have no affect on the election.

Polls have shown Johnson takes more votes away from brain-damaged Hillary than from Trump.

We still can hope Hillary drops dead before the election.

He and his supporters know that he cannot be anything but a spoiler for the anti-Hillary vote.

Thd Libertarian pipe dream: Hitlery won’t further erode civil liberties. Well, we’re all sinking together, no matter how high you are.

Article seems to be a contradiction. If Johnson is “drifting left” it would appear that he would take more votes away from Hitlerly than Trump.

The people who would vote for him —as a Libertarian i will NOT be voting for Johnson because of his drift away from Libertarianism— would not be voting for Trump even if Johnson wasn’t in the race.

I think the analysis that he’s taking more votes from Hillary than Trump is flawed. It is true that in opinion polls where they first give a choice of two candidates and then a choice among 4, that there is slightly more movement downward in Clinton’s numbers than in Trump’s. Part of that is the Green candidate, but people are missing the fact that there are people who are saying they would vote for Clinton, who in a normal year would be Republican voters. They’ve ALREADY left Trump. That’s why he’s polling below 40% to start with. And why any future increases that Johnson sees are likely to be further defections of people unwilling on principle to vote for Trump. Keep in mind if he gets to 15% they have to include him in the debates.

I'm still on the Libertarian Party's emailing list. Judging from their emails, they are a two-issue party: Legalize pot and open the borders (especially to Muslims). The more they get their word out, the more votes they'll take from Hillary.

He is just taking the disgruntled Bernie voters which is a plus for Trump.

He is there to say Look at me. Look at me.

A vote for Johnson is a vote for Hillary and these so-called “Christians” who would install her in the White House sicken me. I know so many of these very sanctimonious people who are “offended” by Trump and who will “vote their conscience” by voting for Johnson. Can’t fix stupid!!

Gary Johnson and Jill Stein should not be helpful in sucking up some Hillary’s votes.

The premise is nonsensical. This is not a primary, it’s the general election - you can vote for whomever you want.

Voting for Johnson does nothing vis-a-vis Trump or Clinton. If you don’t want Trump then vote Clinton, if you don’t want Clinton then vote Trump. Voting for Johnson accomplishes nothing. In fact, if you’re voting for Johnson to hurt another candidate which you dislike, you’ve wasted your vote - you are depriving both Clinton & Trump of your vote thus making your vote meaningless, you haven’t tipped the scale either way, you haven’t helped your cause. And Johnson has no chance of winning, so why waste your vote?

These articles about Johnson and McWhatEverHisNameIs are nonsense.
