Ted Cruz May Get The Last Laugh If Donald Trump Implodes

The Texas senator’s decision to not endorse the GOP nominee is looking pretty good right now.

WASHINGTON Immediately after Sen. Ted Cruz walked offstage at the GOP convention in Cleveland last month without endorsing Donald Trump, the Texas conservative and former presidential primary rival appeared to have made a grave miscalculation. (snip)

But after a week of Trump repeatedly setting himself on fire (declining even to wait for the previous fire to go out), politicians who endorsed Trump, such as House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.), have found themselves feeling the heat, while Cruz’s decision is starting to look like the better long-term bet. The panic within the party spread so much last week that several high-profile Trump supporters reportedly began contemplating staging an “intervention” with the candidate.

And Cruz, in rare fashion, has let the fire rage without adding his own gasoline. “He’s doing a remarkable job staying quiet and letting people come to that conclusion on their own,” said Amanda Carpenter, a longtime adviser to Cruz.

While those close to Cruz were confident the decision not to endorse would be the right one in the end, the quickness with which it’s panning out has been a bit of a surprise. “Trump blew his own convention. While predictable, it still boggles the mind it happened,” Carpenter said. “Trump is like a tornado. You know it’s going to be devastating when it rips through your house but the aftermath is still shocking.”

Cruz is well-positioned for a 2020 presidential bid should he succeed in resuscitating his image — he took home nearly 600 delegates this cycle with the aid of an impressive grassroots organization. (snip)

If we take our country back, I want everyone of these “Never Trump” GOPe “Republicans for Hillary” utterly destroyed.

I am serious. There is no 2020 if Hillary wins, she will flood America with another 20 million South of the Border illiterate and criminal aliens, Texas will be flipped from Red to Blue, and with the loss of Texas in the electoral college there will not be another Republican President in 100 years plus.

So speaking of money, I want to see them lose their livelihood just like they tried to do to me by being “Republicans for Hillary”, find out if they committed any crime anr if so put them in prison, take their jobs away, I don’t care if their families suffer because they didn’t give a damn about mine, I want revenge because I will never forgive, not now, because it is the Alamo now, right now, there is no 2020, everyone of these scum has to pay the piper. First chance, go get them.

By the way, that includes Ted Cruz, that pri***.

No, in further review I think E-S is, in his own way trying to urge unity by pleading for FReepers not to trash Cruz or the Cruzlims. I can understand that.

Unfortunately it isn't up to anyone to convince someone of the urgency to cast their vote against Hillary Rotten Criminal, if the CruzLims can't see past the end of their nose to realize the mortal danger our Republic is in, then they will cut off that nose to spite their proverbial faces, and there is nothing anyone can do about it.

Voting is not a child's game, it is serious business. We all know that. If someone wants to throw their vote away on a third party loser, or stay home, or even voting for Queen 'RAT, that is on them, and I will damn them for it as will any real American.

You know I was fully in Cruz’z court and then some...but what he pulled at the RNC and continues to do is the wrong thing...and he’s lost my support entirely.

It’s a new game ...we have our candidate....there’s no other option and won’t be.

Cruz needs to stay back on the sidelines until the election if he’s not going to endorse Trump......and he’ll be even worse off if he doesn’t bring it in before the vote.
