Washington (CNN)Donald Trump backed off a false claim Friday morning, admitting he had not seen a video of a $400 million payment being unloaded from a US plane in Iran.

The Republican nominee had claimed at rallies twice this week that such a video existed, saying in Maine on Thursday that it was provided by Iranians "to embarrass our president because we have a president who's incompetent."

Well, I didn’t write that quote above...but to your point, you can’t prevent that discussion from happening here because that’s all there is to discuss...one side controls everything - ALL communication. There’s nothing to discuss except that. And that’s exactly how our globalist masters have set it up. You CANNOT win a battle of public opinion against something that OWNS ALL the tools. It’s, very sad to say, a different kind of battle that will be necessary to be free again. We were warned of this long ago. And that is no sure thing whatsoever, we are massive disadvantage there too. What do you think the motto “Live Free or Die” means?

So Trump simply must send out zero bad comments. It's unfair that he must be held to that standard while Hillary is not, but that's reality.

LOL. So the MSM will give him minimum coverage if he doesn't make a "bad comment." You are falling into the MSM trap. You are blaming Trump instead of the MSM for their biased and partisan coverage including their outright lies. I can recall in Chicago when Trump had to cancel his rally because of the violent anti-Trump demonstrators outside the venue.

The MSM and some of the Rep candidates blamed the violence on Trump's rhetoric. He was the cause. But anyone with half a brain knows these were paid, astro-turfed demonstrators funded by Soros and the DNC to disrupt Trump and his large rallies. Wikileaks confirmed this with a number of instances where DNC staffers were sent to demonstrate against Trump.

What is happening is not Trump's fault. He is fighting against the political establishment and their corporate paymasters. The stakes are enormous. They will do whatever is necessary to stop Trump. It is vicious and nasty. Right now, three months out, the DNC and the MSM sense blood in the water and think they can knock out Trump now. It is all orchestrated. Mike Morrell, former Deputy CIA chief, coming out today endorsing Hillary and calling Trump dangerous and turned by Putin is part of that effort. Trump must weather the storm. He needs all the help he can get from his supporters. We need to stop blaming him and focus on why this is being done.

The MSM is acting like rabid dogs. Crazed rabid dogs chasing
their own tails - and catching AND biting their own tails.

The liberal propaganda “media” is more upset that Trump said something versus Obama having done it.

Oops. Sorry. I was replying to comment 14 and somehow mixed it up with comment 15 — yours.

But it turned out well. I was then able to read your quite cogent comments upon the leftist media monopoly. I think you’re right. There may be no resolution of the current war of liberty against tyranny without bloodshed.

Yes, it reminds me of the days of the movies censors in the 40s and 50s: the guys who would "force" themselves to watch that awful porn to find out what the public must be protected against.

The Kardashian clan, with a poke-mon attention span...

...maggots hatched in a DNC/media/academia garbage can.

Dem media blitz trying to get out in front of Wikileak/other devastating ticking time-bombs...because it's not just the candidate/DNC being exposed as corrupt frauds, it's the media too...so thus a full frontal BS Alinsky tactical response, this time for THEIR OWN survival.

So please, unless one is a fool...ALL this was completely expected from the vermin.

Unfortunately(for them)what WASN'T expected is basically them being forced to shoot their wad LONG before they intended...because of fallout/public reaction to wikileaks/other exposures of the truth.

So while Hillary/DNC/media laugh and cook up this..."how about a little fire(storm)scarecrow..." meme, in reality their pants are filling with excrement by the minute.

What's the moral of the story....so long as the story ends with a bucket of water on the witch and we take the broomstick...who gives 2 shtz about droppings from flying monkeys.

I agree, absolutely.

They will do whatever is necessary to stop Trump.

Again, I agree absolutely. So Trump has to play it very, very smart. Give them nothing to work with. As I have noted before, it's not fair that he has to be so careful, but that's reality.

If it seems like I'm being critical of Trump, I'm not. Heck, I make more unforced errors before 9 AM every day than Trump makes all week. All I'm saying is that dark forces are against him. He must play it very smart.

problem here is..MSM will continue to set him up with false narratives. DJT needs someone at his side to tackle him, when needed.

Trump needs to bait the stupid media into false narratives and then expose them as crooked like Hillary.

“To the media, that’s a big deal, but Obama paying a ransom to our enemy warrants just a shrug of the shoulders from them.”

And, thus, Trump should dismiss it with, “Given the real threat of Islamist terrorism, if I were doing your job, I’d be more worried about the money we just gave the world’s #1 sponsor of terrorism. Have you been looking into that at all? You would if I were the president, right?”

Correct the media whenever possible. Dismiss them whenever necessary.

No. My point is that there IS a video and I’m not making a big deal that Trump had the wrong video. The ransom payments by Obsma are what matters

It's not that big of a deal that Trump thought he had seen a video of them money. It is a big deal if the payments were for ransom rather than just a refund of the money that Iran had paid for those weapons way back when.

The best way to prove that it was a ransom is to find someone involved in the negotiations who will say it was for ransom. Another way to prove that the money was for ransom would be to prove that the US still owes Iran the 400 million for a refund of the money Iran once paid for weapons that they never received.

Instead of "rather than," it can be both. Was the release of the hostages contingent on receipt of the funds? If yes, then it's ransom. It doesn't matter if we owed them the money or not - an issue that has been under dispute for decades.

I think that the important intent is the intent of the person doing the act, in this case paying the money. Only the person who does something knows why he/she did it.

More generally, the underlying problem, as I see it, is that it is not in the best interest of the American people for crazy people in the world to think that we pay ransoms for kidnapped Americans. So, why would I want crazy people to think that? Answer: I don't.

You have to look at both players. If the release is contingent on the money changing hands, then the way I see it, it is ransom. Do you say is is not ransom, if the kidnapping was undertaken in order to encourage an old debt to be settled?
