Rep. Brenda Lawrence (D., Mich.) has been given an eviction notice at her apartment in Washington, D.C. for failure to pay her rent.

In 2010, when Lawrence was running for lieutenant governor of Michigan, a condo co-owned by Lawrence and her daughter was hit with a foreclosure notice after falling over $75,000 behind in mortgage payments.

Unfortunately, I have little sympathy for the landlord. As soon as he saw who the person on the application was:

...he should have politely informed the applicant that the apartment has already been rented out.
