I can only suppose this is part of a chess game where Trump embraces his enemies, making them look hugely ungracious (see: TED CRUZ) if they continue to attack him.
Perhaps he has information leading him to believe Ryan and McCain are going to win, and wants to put himself on the winning side. I dunno.
Certainly, he’s taken over another news cycle....
He’s trying to be the bigger person. He basically wants to take the “endorsement” talking point off the 24/7 table.
I wish he would attack Hillary.
Though I could spite fire at Trump for endorsing Ryan, McCain, Ayotte I guess the old saying is true: You catch more flies with honey than vinegar
Trump's endorsements won't make a hill of beans difference in the respective races.
It’s actually a very good speech about unity and he’s coming across very Presidential. I know it’s lip service and appreciate him not giving the media anything to bash him on.

Obviously the deal was that Ryan would not put TPP on the table prior to the election if Trump endorses him and Ayotte.
