I can only suppose this is part of a chess game where Trump embraces his enemies, making them look hugely ungracious (see: TED CRUZ) if they continue to attack him.
Perhaps he has information leading him to believe Ryan and McCain are going to win, and wants to put himself on the winning side. I dunno.
Certainly, he’s taken over another news cycle....

McCain has done NOTHING in AZ this campaign season. Kelli Ward has been everywhere in this state and has been talking and listening to the people. She gets my vote.
