Yet...and yet you still have those “conservatives” at this and other conservative sites who say Trump shouldn’t “have taken the bait” (the new MSM narrative for the last 5 days) on Khan....actually assuming that no matter what Trump or any other gop would do would actually make a difference in their propaganda errrrrr, coverage.
Now they’re trying to compare Trump to McCarthy. Their passion is a measure of the threat he poses to the Establishment.

Irrelevant. It’s the accusation that resonates, not whether it is true or not. Trump can say everything that is true, but if no one reports on it, it doesn’t come out as true.

Actually, I think ordinary Americans liked Joe McCarthy. It was the elites that hated him.
Hillary is a better target for this approach.
Then maybe Mr. Trump should make sure history is accurate. Cite the release of the Venona Papers as proving McCarthy was right. Assert that because he was right the left needed to obfuscate and destroy McCarthy personally.
