After a gunman killed 49 people in June at a gay nightclub in Orlando, Fla., Anne Verrill, a prominent Maine restaurateur, swung through a range of familiar emotions: frustration, anger, helplessness.
She reflected, too, on her typical response to the nation’s litany of gun massacres.
“We write Facebook posts, we copy and paste, and we talk about it with people who basically agree with us,” Ms. Verrill, 38, said the other day. “We’ve never really done anything outside the box with regard to gun control.”

That would be defrauding an innkeeper, and make our side look even pettier than theirs.
No it is not. They ate nothing, and they are abiding by the wishes of the owner.
The owner is who is making the pronouncement, and she is breaking the law if she follows through with it.
What restaurants does this clown own? I will be sure to never enter.
And did anyone inform this hater of the Constitution that the Democrat Muslim Hillary supporter who murdered homosexuals didn’t use an AR-15?
Or, a group of concerned citizens could band together and all visit the restaurant half an hour before the busiest time of the day (lunch hour would be perfect), and then turn into "customers from hell".
Angry, demanding, complaining, routinely sending their orders back, not tipping, and hanging around loooong after the lunch hour, just occupying the seats. Ordering a glass of water. Inspecting the table ware and silverware for cleanliness, bothering the waitress to take it to the kitchen and wash it.
Passive-aggressive sh@t like that. Her staff may NOT all quit at the end of the day, but ya never know. But you'll get your point across.

oooooo some greedy lawyer could get even richer by pushing a denial of 2nd amendment civil liberties litigation. Does that restaurant have insurance with a deep pocketed company?
If you like the restaurant, ignore the posturing. If she refuses to serve you or throws you out, sue. She’s running a public accommodation. She can’t discriminate.
The key would be to ask, after the meal is served, “am I welcome here even though I own an AR-15?” If the answer is “no,” get up and leave. Portland is too near Massatwoshits to avoid the poison of liberalism.
Exactly, class warfare and total discrimination. The State of Maine, or the Maniacs should look into this, pronto.

A couple of observations here...
1) This is a perfect example of leftist “diversity,” it doesn’t matter what people look like as long as they all think exactly the same.
2) Typical leftist drivel about “weapon of war.” The ARs and other similar firearms are every bit weapons of war as cars with hood scoops, racing stripes, and spoilers are race cars.
