Yes and no. You give the conventional Rep response. No need to fire back at your attackers. However, if it is found that there is a relationship to the MB and the Saudis, then it would be worthwhile for this to come out. No need for Trump to be the point of the spear. A surrogate of some sort with no connection with the Trump campaign, would suffice.
This was the lead story on all the Sunday morning shows, the mother has written an article published today in the NYT, and the father is on the morning shows today. Without any push back, the narrative will stand. It needs to be debunked or it will come back again and again during the campaign. You can bet it will be raised at the debates.
