Its hard to forget the story of San Diego Police Officer Jeremy Henwood, who five years ago bought a teenage boy a cookie he couldnt afford at a McDonalds in City Heights, got in his patrol car to do his job and was fatally shot inside that cruiser just a few blocks away, his bag of food still warm.

"Police acted stupidly" - Barack Obama
That story is so sad.
Officer JD Guzman, 43, father of two. Shot and killed
Officer Wade Irwin, shot and wounded, seriously hurt but expected to survive.
Jesse Michael Gomez, 52, was charged in the shootings.
I've already said prayers for both of them - there have been so many this summer.
Remember them when you go to the polls in November.
That sure as hell ain’t the same San Diego Tribune of the 1960’s when I lived there. This editorial is appalling.
“America’s Finest City” has been ruined because of liberalism.
Did they even get the other guy who’s home was surrounded by SWAT?
On one hand these mindless depredations upon officers.
On the other hand, officers who bend to the corrupt will of various groups.
Both the result of a collective putting of God out of our lives, or at best reducing our involvement with God to a weekly ceremony in a building.
1. Gomez Was Tracked to a Nearby Ravine Because He Left a Blood Trail, Police said
2. The Officers Were Part of a Gang Unit & Were Wearing Bullet Proof Vests
3. The Motive For the Shooting Was Unclear & Police Don’t Know if it Was an Ambush
4. A Second Man Was Arrested After a House Was Surrounded, But it’s Not Clear Whether He was Involved
5. The San Diego Padres Paused For a Moment of Silence For Officer DeGuzman, Who Was Remembered as a Man Who Talked About His Family Constantly
Oh God, he was the kind of officer that this world really needs.

The S.U.T sold out to the Leftist LA Slimes last year.
Newsonomics:
Tribune Publishing wraps its arms around San Diego and all of Southern California
The purchase of U-T San Diego by Tribune Publishing owners of the Los Angeles Times up the road is a sign of the kind of newspaper consolidation publishers are being pushed toward.
May 2015
Finally, theres the political angle. Papa Doug Manchester and his associate John Lynch define themselves by their conservatism, an important strand of San Diego culture.
Beutners L.A. Times, though, is proving itself out to be a liberal force in L.A., and he would presumably bring that perspective to San Diego. The days of by-the-old-book, down-the-middle objective journalism are clearly numbered overall, with Southern California now a prime case history in the reinvention of the local news business.
Where’s the picture of the KILLER?
“Americans from San Diego to Washington, D.C., are convening forums to have difficult discussions about race relations and law enforcement.”
No. We are not. Try saying, “Mike Brown was an oversized thug” in a “race forum”, and then try getting out alive. You cannot have a discussion when only one side gets to present a case.
And that false case is driving a spike in murders, beyond a doubt. After all, a lot of the folks shooting cops SAY that is why they are targeting cops. And the idea that Obama & Hillary promote, that cops hate non-whites and want to kill them, does have consequences.
