PHOENIX - A man waiting to board a Southwest plane at Phoenix Sky Harbor Thursday night was booted from the flight for his vulgar t-shirt. But he thinks his punishment was politically motivated.
The T-shirt Kevin (he declined to share his last name) was wearing said “F*** Trump.”
“I mean there was another guy who just had a middle finger on his shirt but they didn't say nothing to him,” Kevin told ABC15 on Friday.
Kevin thinks the problem wasn't the bad word, but rather the target of that aggressive language.
“What's really the problem? Are you a Trump fan or something? I mean, is Southwest for Trump?” Kevin inquired rhetorically.
He said he was wearing his F-Trump shirt and waiting for the Southwest flight when a gate agent came to him and asked that he change - or at least turn the shirt inside out.

I always thought there were public decency Laws, at least there were when I was growing up.
While visiting Japan a few years ago, I took a picture of my granddaughter with one of those “mechanical man” street performers. In the picture with her is a man wearing a t-shirt that says “Go F**k Yourself”. It made me wonder about people here who wear shirts with Chinese/Kanji characters and what they might really be saying.
I’m always amazed when a complete a$$whole wears a piece of clothing publicly that he has to know is offensive to some people like women and children. This is not the first time this has happened. A woman in a flight to Washington State was diverted at Reno because her shirt contained the same offensive language because a passenger complained.
And to be consistent, they suspended a pilot for using obscene language in the aircraft heard by a passenger. They are consistent and find this type of behavior offensive. I do, too. And any idiot should realize there is a time and place for this type of display, And it isn’t around women and children or anyone for that matter, that finds it offensive.
It is not necessary for an adult to try to make a point using words or gestures to try to sensationalize their opinion. Lack of class, and an indication of a bad education with so limited a vocabulary.
