When is Hillary Clinton going to hold that long-awaited news conference — the first of 2016? Whenever she feels like it.

This has always been true, of course. The media can't force her into one. But the Democratic presidential nominee's campaign hasn't been quite so blunt about it.

Until now.

"We'll have a press conference when we want to have a press conference," Clinton pollster Joel Benenson said on ABC News on Thursday evening.

I cannot see how she can possibly agree to a debate.

Hmm. Maybe she’ll require separate locations and prerecorded answers. Trump will decline, and she’ll say, “He’s too afraid to debate!” Damn, I forget about her being an evil genius.

Which is why everyone of the debates she agrees to (if at all), all the questions, will not be questions, but pre-screened statements beforehand. (No real debate at all)

Aside from the dual risks of looking foolish and reminding people how utterly repulsive she is, Hillary's fear of press conferences is probably driven mostly by the need to avoid making public statements that could come back to haunt her legally. Comey's recent travesty aside, she is still in severe potential legal jeopardy.

I've never seen anything like this. A nominee for President of the United States who can't talk specifically about anything she's done because she is perpetually being investigated for serious crimes, yet who a large proportion of the public nevertheless support. Beyond bizarre.

I sometimes worry that Hillary's "misstatements" could be signs of a seriously impaired mental state.

Hillary's delusional belief that she was under sniper fire in Bosnia, that she was named after Sir Edmund Hillary, etc. are one thing but what if she gets elected and wakes up some morning convinced that she is under Russian ICBM attack and needs to launch and immediate counter strike?
