As Sanders said the other day “we (socialists) are not fringe anymore”
What we are witnessing this election cycle is significant. Socialism is front and center with the democrat party now and has come out of the closet. Sure ... socialist policies were there. But this is different. Given demographic shifts this is evidence to me that it is just a matter of time before a socialist will be elected President of the United States. If there are enough of them they could profoundly change or scrap the Constitution.
I see it as inevitable, as did the great free-market economist Joseph Schumpeter. It’s good to have an escape plan.
That ship sailed back in 2008.
