>o?These people, working class whites, were THE DEMOCRAT BASE...

And I'm thinking the democrats internal polling isn't looking so good and they've realized (hopefully to late) that they still need moderate working class whites to win. Which is why they quickly bumped the far lefties like Elizabeth Warren and minorities like Julian Castro off the VP list for a "Joe Biden lite" in Tim Kaine, what they don't realize is that even though Tim Kaine might be slightly more centrist on a couple social issues, he is as much of an open borders internationalist as Bernie Sanders.

Actually, they were on to it from the start, which is why they fought Trump so hard. It wasn’t just Republican elites that didn’t want Trump, it was the entire Democrat field - they saw his power. They just couldn’t go public with that information, of course.

But more recently, about 2 weeks ago, there were some articles saying that Hillary needs to reach white, working class voters. Problem is, SHE WAITED TOO LONG. Kaine will be of no help - as far as these voters go, Hillary is all-in with Black Lives Matter and Amnesty. She’s already type-casted herself. The Dems all know that, but no one is ready to ‘have the talk’ with Hillary, so they may well just ride her straight into defeat - hoping they get more chances in the future, which has always been the case, since we manage to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory every time we achieve power. But somehow I see that differently with Trump.

Huh?

Sanders seems to me to be the politician after Trump who is against immigration and pro borders.

Some quotes:

“It would make everybody in America poorer—you’re doing away with the concept of a nation state…

““What right-wing people in this country would love is an open-border policy. Bring in all kinds of people, work for $2 or $3 an hour, that would be great for them. I don’t believe in that. I think we have to raise wages in this country, I think we have to do everything we can to create millions of jobs.

“You know what youth unemployment is in the United States of America today? … You think we should open the borders and bring in a lot of low-wage workers, or do you think maybe we should try to get jobs for those kids?””

https://berniesanders.com/open-borders-a-gimmick-not-a-solution/

I think the democrats made a strategic mistake not choosing Sanders. Looking at the white blue collar votes for Trump - with Sanders, I think the democrats would have gotten a larger share of them.

Who knows?

If Hillary finally gets indicted and drops out and Sanders take over, it might be a blessing in disguise for the dems.

Cheers.
