Obama (count Michelle in, too, as she has political aspirations) and the Clintons are fighting over control for the money machine that is the Democrat party.
Hillary, we see, is in control of DWS and the DNC apparatus. If the Clintons win the presidency, they will consolidate party in the government and maintain an iron grip on the DNC.
If she loses, Obama stays the most powerful figure in the party.
Obama is setting up his own foundation. Michelle may run for the Senate. With book deals, green energy and Silicon Valley board appointments, speaking fees, etc. he's on track to be worth 100s of millions. Controlling the party gives him even more power and sets up Michelle.
It would be easy to take Hillary down. Already today a few days out form the first leak (there will be several) we see DWS down for the count. Wiki (Julian) has stated they have the info to get Hillary indicted.
Would they dump the info now during the convention and have Hillary replaced last minute? Or wait until she's nominated? Not sure.
Back to how this could go down.
1. Have an Obama loyalist inside the DNC. Just need one. Have them insert a flash drive with virus software or visit a site to infect the system.
It would have to be sophisticated enough to avoid some pretty decent security. This is the DNC; not Hillary's home brew server, so likely real security.
2. This raises the possibility of it being a state actor (Russia) and that throws forensic folks called in. Likely the FBI - under Lynch (and Obama's control) is called in to investigate.
3. Russia is a good party to blame. Putin. Vague ties to Trump, though Hillary can't overplay that as her buddy sold them uranium (our uranium). But it's a viable explanation creating plausible deniability.
I don't see why Russia would go after Hillary. They are doing what they want while she is Secretary of State and the Clintons can be bought.
We know (99% likely) Russia already has all the info on Hillary's home brew server and they haven't leaked that. I think Putin would prefer Hillary to Trump, despite what the MSM will tell you.
Trump is a wild card and Putin has no idea exactly what he's dealing with. He'd rather deal with the Clintons which would present him with no problem at all.
4. Notice the DNC can't blame Israel. That was done before (Mossad was blamed) for another WikiLeak. But that might alienate an important traditionally Democrat support base. Russia is a perfect fall guy.
It's been stated the leaks will be in 3 or 4 batches. If they wanted Hillary out, seems they'd have done it already in full.
Hillary loses, Obama takes full control over the DNC. His wife runs for Senate. They become the new power brokers and an old and bitter rival (the Clintons) are vanquished.

But then Obama would have plainly been the person knifing her in the back, right? Instead, he let her walk.
Assume that the Clintons have a certain amount of dirt on Obama and Lynch as well.
Obama lets her walk and his hands are clean.
Now, it’s those darn Russian hackers that took Hillary down because Putin prefers Trump.

Evidence so far suggests that the attack was the work of at least two separate agencies, each apparently working without the knowledge that the other was inside the Democrats’ computers. It is unclear how WikiLeaks obtained the email trove. But the presumption is that the intelligence agencies turned it over, either directly or through an intermediary. Moreover, the timing of the release, between the end of the Republican convention and the beginning of the Democratic one, seems too well-planned to be coincidental.

I think this year we are going to get a surprise a month till November....last month Julian said that the release was planed in such away that even if they killed him it would still happen...because there is a dead man switch on the files being released and they are being stored in multiple locations waiting to be released and not one person knows all the locations.
