Hillary Clinton says she will not respond to the repeated name-calling from Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump or make a name for him, the way he calls her "Crooked Hillary," she said in an interview with CBS "60 Minutes."

"I don't call him anything, and I'm not going to engage in that kind of insult fest that he seems to thrive on," Clinton said. "So whatever he says about me, he's perfectly free to use up his own air time and his own space."

Clinton was joined in the interview by her newly-minted running mate, Virginia Sen. Tim Kaine, for their first joint interview as the Democratic presidential ticket.

She doesn’t have to. She’s got most of the media and the political establishment calling him a dreary racist, sexist, anti-Semitic, homophobic xenophobe.

Yes. Those adjectives are being used by news media in their front pages, not just the opinion sections or shows. Hillary uses more words to say the same thing about Trump in her speeches.

Hillary is quick to employ those French fighting tactics. Must have been all those years as SOS.

What NO popcorn.
I’m sad. Think I’ll now start wearing my “Hillary for Prison” tee shirt.
Went to Walmart and they were sold out, but went online and bought one.

How could you forget ‘dark’ in that list! It’s the word of the week post-convention.

If it doesn't bother you, then why even mention it.

I can hear her grinding her teeth.

This could be her excuse to avoid “debates”, believing she can win without debates.

* RULE 5: “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.” There is no defense. It’s irrational. It’s infuriating. It also works as a key pressure point to force the enemy into concessions. (Pretty crude, rude and mean, huh? They want to create anger and fear.)

* RULE 8: “Keep the pressure on. Never let up.” Keep trying new things to keep the opposition off balance. As the opposition masters one approach, hit them from the flank with something new. (Attack, attack, attack from all sides, never giving the reeling organization a chance to rest, regroup, recover and re-strategize.)

* RULE 12: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.” Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions. (This is cruel, but very effective. Direct, personalized criticism and ridicule works.)

The actions of the Clintons and the democrats are now just too familiar to not be incredibly transparent. You can just hear them, thinking they're so clever, discussing the approach of having Hillary ‘rising above the fray’ and being the sympathetic empathic mature candidate. First they have her on 60 minutes, and plant a question that allows her to say that she ‘felt sad’ when they said she should be locked up. Now, she follows up with (I won't engage Trump in his insults..).

Yeah, OK. In the meantime you and your cronies were plotting to attack Sanders religion, and it certainly wasn't an empathic Hillary who had Billy Dale fired from the White House travel office while trying to destroy his reputation. It wasn't the ‘reasonable and caring’ Hillary who enabled her husbands horrible treatment of women, and who threatened these women to keep them quiet. Hillary does not deserve to be even mentioned in the same breath as the White House.

Dear Mrs. Clinton,

Pretty much everything you do these days is insulting to the American people.

You are a living, breathing “insult fest”.

Feel free to remove yourself from the public discourse in whatever way you find most expedient.

Signed,

An American Who’s Actually Paying Attention

I used to think GW Bush has a good first term, horrible second term. I gave him every benefit of the doubt on the war on terror, including going to war with Iraq even though there was no obvious reason to do so other than Saddam was a jackass and super secret intelligence he couldnt tell us about but oh boy is it bad. I gave him the benefit of the doubt because I thought "he has one overriding passion, to avenge that heinous act and to take the fight to the monsters who did it and make sure it never happens again" so I supported him across the board. He made his second term all about amnesty and scolding conservatives who weren't for it and I began to really dislike him. But he had that war on terror aspect though, his saving grace.

However, after the recent declassified 9/11 commission report, which clearly shows that there were Saudi connection a mile deep yet Bush went out of his way to protect them, including those actually named in the report, I don't trust him on anything anymore. I have come to the conclusion that the contemptible jerk from the 2nd term is who he was all along. And for the first time I'm coming around to the idea that probably he took us to war because he just wanted to get Saddam, nothing more.

Never will I support another Bush, nor do I want to hear from one.
