Debbie Wasserman Schultz announced Sunday she is stepping down as chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee at the end of the party's convention, which is set to begin here Monday.
The Florida congresswoman's resignation -- under pressure from top Democrats -- comes amid the release of leaked emails showing DNC staffers favoring Hillary Clinton over Bernie Sanders in the party's 2016 primary contest.
Her announcement that she was leaving had pro-Sanders supporters cheering during a demonstration in Philadelphia and Donald Trump crowing, too.

Hate to see her step down too, she lied constantly and you could always tell when she was mouthing a real whopper, she would kick her mouth into high gear. She is now an outcast and I have high hopes for P.O.ed tell all book.
Right now on cnn, all seven commentators are speaking at a 100 mile an hour clip. They are all interrupting each other and don’t even realize it. They are all talking so fast which is a sure sign that they want to hurry threw this segment and get it over with! (roflmao) - - -It’s very obvious that these scumbags are very nervous having to discuss these failings of the DNC this week when the convention is about to begin. Absolutely hilarious!!
