The 2016 USC Dornsife / LA Times Presidential Election Poll represents a pioneering approach to tracking changes in Americans’ opinions throughout a campaign for the White House. Around 3000 respondents in our representative panel are asked questions on a regular basis on what they care about most in the election, and on their attitudes toward their preferred candidates. The "Daybreak poll" is updated just after midnight every day of the week

*Imagine* the scene in the LAT newsroom! The whimpering, the thumb sucking, the Stephen Quire caliber freakouts:

Would wager that the Democrat felon’s internal polls are not too impressive. She’s spent 200 million and can’t gain anything. There are so many overt acts of lies and crimes. You can’t fool all of the people all of the time.

I’ll feel better when Dem vote cheating has been factored into the poll

If the slimes are admitting to a slight lead, you know it’s much more.

National polls suck. The only poll I’m interested in is the one we take on November 8.

This is huge, because thus is a seven-day tracking poll. Only two of the seven days come after Trump’s acceptance speech.

It’s the LA Times. The cheating is already factored in.

... also, with a 3,000 person sample size, random fluctuation is minimized. Just the two days since the convention make up 950 responses.

Just a couple more terrorist attacks and the deal will be sealed. And ironically, ISIS could be credited with having saved America by Trump’s victory in November!

Trump putting distance between himself and “she-who-must-not-be-named.”

Getting closer to where he needs to be.

Hoping for 47-48% in the next set of polls.

Trump read the sentiment of the country correctly and crafted his message to match. He hit the target at the convention. The Democrat pandering to “Black Lives Matter” and refusing to utter the words “Islamic Terrorism” is going to sink their boat. I don’t care if they do have a huge amount of funds and the backing of the MSM; they are on the wrong side of just about everything.

Sounds like the Yougov method. A young but informative technique IMO.

I have argued this for some time, that the public polls we are seeing (as many other Freepers have pointed out) are tilted to Cankles in a host of ways-—”registered” voters often even sprinkled with 10-15% “adults” to move the dials 3 points leftward, then ABC asks for the “youngest adult voter in the house”. Why? Clearly because ABC figures the younger voters will be more D leaning (but also less likely to vote).

I have also said that when we get to “likely” voter polls with reasonable D/R samples, Trump will be ahead in almost all of them.

Cankles internals have to be done with some accuracy to give her an idea of where to spend money, and so you are right: her internals have to be horrible.

Interesting that OAN and one other both had Trump over 50% in the last three days.
