That dam has to burst sooner or later, when they finally realise that not only are they blantantly discriminated against for university admissions and other jobs, but when it finally dawns in them that it is 100% democrats that are the cause of it

Probably true at an individual level. However, when they look at things collectively, Asians(and general migrant races in general) feel Democrats’ lax immigration policies, particularly combined with the emergence of Nationalism within mainstream Republicans, the Democrats serve their interests better. It is all about collective interests vs individual interests.
With the infusion of populism within the mainstream Republican platform, lower class Whites who otherwise would be finding individual interests with the Democrats, have really no need for the Democrats. The party ideologies have completely mixed up.
