Woah – Robert Mercer Excoriates Ted Cruz For His Non Endorsement Convention Speech…
There were some who clung to the belief that Senator Ted Cruz could survive his belittling, too-cute-by-half, selfish convention speech. That group just lost a whole lot of members with this published story.
Robert Mercer, the renegade, outlaw (non traditional) political billionaire who determines where all other outlaw political billionaires go with their view$, has just delivered a non recoverable smack down upon Senator Ted Cruz.
Noted, of course, is the vessel (NYT) utilized by an angry Mercer – to deliver the message and drive home the scope of his rebuke:
(Via New York Times) In an extraordinary public rebuke, two influential donors who were among the biggest supporters of Senator Ted Cruz’s presidential campaign excoriated Mr. Cruz on Saturday for his decision not to endorse Donald J. Trump at the Republican National Convention.
The remarks from Robert Mercer of Long Island and his daughter Rebekah Mercer suggest widening fallout over Mr. Cruz’s convention speech, in which he did not endorse his former rival and, instead, suggested that Republicans should “vote your conscience” for candidates “up and down the ticket.”
“Last summer and again this year, Senator Ted Cruz pledged to support the candidacy of the nominee of the Republican Party, whomever that nominee might be,” the Mercers, who rarely comment in the news media, said in the statement to The New York Times.
“We are profoundly disappointed that on Wednesday night he chose to disregard this pledge. The Democratic Party will soon choose as their nominee a candidate who would repeal both the First and Second Amendments of the Bill of Rights, a nominee who would remake the Supreme Court in her own image. We need ‘all hands on deck’ to ensure that Mr. Trump prevails”.

This is HUGE…. Remember, Mercer bought and built the entire Cambridge Analytics empire specifically for Ted Cruz. Then Mercer purchased Breitbart to assist the endeavor; then Mercer put $11 million into Cruz super-PAC’s.
Oh man, this is delicious.
Especially because Fox News is already going full moonbat.
Additionally, this could mean the following political Sea Island attendees are also forced, for sake of their own political reelection skin, to go “Full Trump”:

Rick Perry. 2018 primary. “Elect a senator who will help implement President Trump’s policies which have already begun to turn America around, unlike the incumbent who has been an obstructionist.”
Cruz believes in open borders and amnesty. He wants Hillary to win. Its time that legal immigration was limited to mostly whites or we will continue to see balkanization and racial politics at full bore. It seems a lot of the top people are seeing the problems and want a change for the better now.

I hear rumblings that some want to see Perry challenge Cruz for the Senate seat next election. That will be tasty!
If that is really the case, then Perry would win in a landslide......I don’t see Cruz even getting much support for a re-run on his senate seat. I really believe Cruz is toast, and acted like a little spoiled child throwing a tantrum and stomping his foot at the RNC convention.
This election has been very illuminating. All the masks are falling.

I watched “Clinton Cash” this weekend and also “Hillary’s America”, the movie by Dinesh d’Souza. Books are great, such as Schweitzer’s which the ‘Cash’ movie is abt, but people are much more inclined to watch a movie than buy a book and invest the time to read it–sad, but that’s the reality.
It is way past time for Levin, Beck, Erickson, et al, to make a clear choice: either support the Republican ticket of Trump/Pence and be very strong abt it, get behind their mikes and start advocating for these two movies, OR, state their solidarity behind Clinton and be very strong abt it. Choose your army, ladies and gentlemen, because we’re engaged in war from now till November. After that, the Trump militia will need to leave troops in place to maintain the peace but those battles will be fought as well in the court of public opinion, too, as they break out.
These sniveling, back biting, Cruz hangers on are now unpatriotic and I don’t have to have some ‘yuge’ Ivy League pedigree in Constitutional law and super human word smithing abilities in political science to make that claim. The primaries are over. Get over it. You are with America or you are not. America is turned off by Ted Cruz. He’s a smart guy and he has a possible future as a speech writer but he himself cannot deliver a speech anybody can stand to sit through!
Adversity, like sports, reveals character, it doesn’t build character. Ted Cruz got worse the longer the primary drug on. That young patriot in Indiana who quietly stood holding a Trump sign across the street from one of Ted’s little rallies on the day of their primary speaks for us all: Leave. You are not wanted here.
In my area there are people that call local talk radio and whine on and on abt how Trump has to earn their vote. No folks, you have to get over yourselves and pull the lever in November for America. This is our final chance. If it makes you feel better, take Trump out of this and make everything you say and do, including your vote, be strictly abt America. If you can’t get there, you aren’t loyal to your country which means you aren’t a patriot. Don’t for Trump if your high and mighty, perfect set of ethics and values prevent you from doing that, but for the love of your family and those coming after you, vote AMERICA! Don’t vote for Trump if you’re disillusioned into thinking that will give you some special position in Heaven, but vote AGAINST Hillary and FOR America!
The only way to quiet the dissenting, sour grapes voices such as Levin’s is to stop listening. Cancel TV subscriptions. Don’t buy books and don’t patronize their sponsors. That’s how the people’s voice is heard and that’s how results are achieved in a free market society. Those responses are what destroyed liberal talk radio. When America heard what they disagreed with, they walked away and radio shows were shut down.
During the primaries, Cruz campaigners frequently pushed the notion that he had been called. His family members had heard his call straight from God’s lips during visions and prayers. Beck, self-prophesied Nostradamus, took up the mantra. They heard the Lord tell them to use dirty tricks just prior to the IA caucus. Then it apparently was the Lord that inspired Cruz’ super pac to run with the photo attack on Mrs. Trump just prior to the Utah vote. Everything they did, good, bad or indifferent, they chalked up to being privileged to have direct conduit to God’s ear, and they alone had the number to His private line. No one else heard God’s voice. No one else was moved by the Holy Spirit. Not one. Just them. In retrospect, we know that the Lord brings the haughty into account.
Cruz was unfit to be president, in my mind, for a number of reasons but a couple hold first and second place rankings. First runner up: Cruz claims now he didn’t endorse Trump because of his sacred vow to his wife to honor her. Reality is, Mrs. Cruz would be attacked most likely on a daily basis if her husband occupied the Oval Office. The bitter hate speech and vitriol of the Left has now passed the fever pitch mark. No one disagreeing with them is immune. Applying Cruz’ own philosophy on this, he’d shut down as president, unable to function due to his commitment to his marriage. As insults and rude remarks were made abt his First Lady, just as every other First Lady has been subjected to, Ted would be forced to resign, no matter what impact it had on the country and world. Cruz seems to have a disconnect abt his marriage vows and family loyalty. The Bible teaches that those that follow Christ will certainly be scorned and ridiculed. It comes with the Christian territory, but we are not to be deterred because the great reward of Heaven awaits if we remain faithful. A man can’t control what is said abt his family, he can only control his reaction. Endorsing Trump would not have been disloyalty to his family because the Christian sheds such petty disagreements and simply prays for the transgressor. Cruz has proven he can’t suffer criticism that should be meaningless. Mrs. Cruz apparently can’t move on otherwise she would have advised her husband to get over a silly photo of herself and get busy to save America–support the man standing in the gap between destruction of America and an America on the mend. If Donald Trump had thin skin, no ability to move on and forgive, he would not have chosen Pence. Instead, he would have harbored resentment that would have prevented clear discernment and good judgment, since Pence endorsed Cruz. Donald Trump realized petty differences took the backseat to sound judgment in America’s best interest.
#1 convincing reason Cruz thankfully is not our nominee: The day after Trump released his list of potential SCOTUS nominees, it was Mark Levin himself that stated Cruz did not want to be on that list because Cruz knows he could not survive the confirmation hearings during his nomination for the high court because his fellow senators would not vote to approve him! Levin, one of the most vocal and adamant Cruz supporters admitted Cruz couldn’t get a majority of 100 senators to approve him as a justice to the SCOTUS, so why did he ever think Cruz could get 51% of the vote for President! Levin admitted Cruz was unlikable and unelectable in that statement. That’s right, I said it.
Never Trumpers, have a lovely week supporting your ticket in Philadelphia. BTW, has anybody heard whether or not George Will has been chosen to offer the official nomination of Hillary on the convention floor? He definitely has the requisite qualifications.

Portman's an interesting guy. He's intelligent, informed, and presents himself well. He never went bat-crazy Kasick with the RNC in town. He does seem like a person who can adjust his principles to meet his needs....JMHO
Think of it this way, LS. There's a whole lot of feel-good vibe between Cleveland area hosts and Trump. I'd think it'll cut into the dem majority in the county which is what can give dems a majority in OH. So, if Trump winning OH means Portman is pulled over the finish, well, I'm saying at least it isn't that traitorous bum KaSick.
My guess is that even Heidi is sick of him after that stunt.

I thought Perry was angling to be in charge of Veterans Affairs.
No problem. That's small change for him.
He lives on Long Island sound on about 50 acres. His real estate taxes for a year are about $350,000. That's per year! BTW, you don't get water, sewer or garbage pickup for that.
Rick Perry is not ever going to be my senator if I can help it. He sold Texas out to Moslem investors just as Obama has the rest of the country. We need new clean people. We should have a third party and it should be called.. “Never an Incumbent.” If we keep sending the same folk back we will not ever move forward.
That was opposition research by the DNC.

I think Patrick would be the stronger opponent in the long haul. Both Perry and Patrick
would be 68 come election time and Abbott would be 60.
