A "divider" like GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump will have a hard time winning Ohio, an important battleground that could help decide the election in November, said Buckeye State Gov. John Kasich, a former Republican presidential candidate.
"Ohio's a snapshot of the country. People in Ohio want to see a positive agenda, a positive way to move forward," Kasich said Friday in an interview at the Union League of Philadelphia. He attended a fund-raiser for Brian Fitzpatrick, a Bucks County Republican running for an open congressional seat.
Kasich's remarks came a day after Trump accepted the Republican Party's nomination at its convention in Cleveland. Kasich, who dropped out of the presidential primary campaign in May after Trump effectively clinched the nomination, did not attend the convention.
"Without an endorsement, I thought it would be inappropriate for me to go in there and make some kind of a talk," Kasich said.

Kasich said Trump wouldn’t win anything that he has won. Kasich is about as reliable as the weatherman.
Kasich does not speak for Ohio. Cruz, Jeb and Kasich are liars and have no political future. They broke their pledge to support nominee. Romney did not break a pledge, but he is equally finished. Trump will win Ohio
Kasich (and the other candidates) did not sign an agreement with Trump, they signed an agreement with the RNC to support the nominee. If these so-called Republicans can’t go out and at least exhort people to vote for Trump in order to defeat Hillary, they’re even worse people than I thought.

Forgive me as I take your opinion and file it in the round file.
Don’t look for a future in the Republican party, Mr. Kasich. Not among the 80+ percent that call ourselves, rightly so, the base.
I think he (Kasich) is sweatin’ like a whore at a Billy Graham crusade.

Never did like tho jerk. Trump will win Ohio by 7-10 Points as long as long as Trump has good poll watchers to slow down the fraud.
I think Trump wins PA, OH, and maybe MI. Loses VA.
Trump is appealing to rust belt working class unlike dipstick Romney and McCain. This is a very different election. Where we go this year, who knows...but those other two were working off a dated template that does not reflect today’s voters or problems.
In all cases, even if you have to vote for a Democrat to usher in the final reckoning, vote AGAINST Kasich because he is still trying to defeat us, the American People.
