Ask yourself this. Would anyone on Trump’s side have approved a nearly twenty-five minute ramble from a guy who refused to endorse the candidate? Who else, outside of keynote speakers, was approved to talk so long? (For that matter, what other speaker was approved who didn’t support Trump? Cruz supporters seem to think that special rules apply to Cruz. Obots think the same thing about Obama.)
Then ask yourself where Newt got the idea Cruz’ speech in fact included an endorsement? Here is the line Newt was supposed to deliver, from his prepared remarks:
