As France searches for ways to deal with the threat from jihadists, lawmakers are suggesting radical ideas with one suggesting a French Guantánamo should be opened on an idyllic island off the west coast.

The tranquil island of Ile de Ré, which lies just off the La Rochelle on France’s west coast, is used to welcoming tourists from the UK and France in search of peace and quiet. […]

George Fenech, MP for center-right Les Republicains party, believes a Guantánamo à la Française could be set up on the island to house all those jihadists who are expected to return from fighting in Iraq and Syria. […]

Other MPs have talked of arming police with rocket launchers in certain sensitive spots so rampaging lorries can be stopped, while some have talked about bringing back the death penalty. …

Elba? Devils Island?
How about sending them all to Pluto

get the dangerous Moslems as far away from civilied people, societies as possible! ASAP!

they have proven they cannnot live in civil society...and they clearly do not WANT to

that only leaves three choices,
1. let them keep murdering and terrorizing us..on their path to conquering and subjugating us
2. kill them now (which I am not advocating), or
3. the humanitarian approach, repatriate them now.

Still believe in repatriation? That’ll only move them closer to Israel after all.

oops. sorry about that!

I forgot about you there in Jerusalem.

well, they ARE a big problem, aren’t they!?

at one time many years ago there was a proposal to Chiam Herzl to accept Tanzania. He turned it down. (Maybe that was a mistake?) .. anyway.....he wanted the Jewish people’s rightful and Promised homeland back, not some island in the ocean.

But an island in the ocean, patrolled to make sure they don’t get off it......that could be a good repatriation site for them? If not, do you have a better idea?
Because that’s the very best I can come up with right now, and I am genuinely open to better ideas for sure!!!
But an island surrounded by lots of ocean, patrol boats, and sharks...could protect civilization from this awful scorge

Send them all to Hawaii. Then give Hawaii to North Korea. Wait until Obama is living there first though.

Ok well — I get the message. They might escape and attack us again. Well, then, they’ll probably just have to be killed. They sure don’t play well with us infidels — that’s for sure.

Actually, I was not thinking about their escaping but rather the conditions on that island.

Guantanamo has had no escapes, correct? (Obama lets them out the front door.)

Since NASA’s chief function is Muslim outreach, why don’t we let Muslims colonize Mars (one way trip, plus the Most Interesting Man in the World will be there to greet them)?

No escapes from Guantanamo. The Cubans have ensured a good supply of sharks and barracudas just off the shore line by putting a meat processing plant at the end of Guantanamo Bay. There is always a large number of mean fishes in the water.

The military divers seem to love that kind of stuff though.

Was not aware of the meat processing plant adjacent to Gitmo. My, what a lovely setting.

Send them to Devil’s Island. They’ll be right at home.

Why not French Guiana? Roast a few pigs on the beach and get that guillotine back up and operating.

The meat processing plant isn’t really “adjacent” to GTMO, it is up the bay in Cuba territory proper. But the effluents go down the bay into the main harbor in GTMO and draw the fish into that harbor from the ocean. Castro would store effluents until some boat people would try to cross the harbor to get to GTMO as refugees, then he would release and the sharks and barracudas would come.

It was a particularly favorite trick of his during the 1993 refugee crisis.

Muslims and normal civilized society cannot coexist.
Any muslim who wants to enter the company of civilized people needs to:
1. Denounce Islam.
2. Convert to some other religion or even become non-religious.
3. Swear allegiance to the country that hosts them.
4. Learn to speak the language of their new host country.

Do the French still maintain that island prison off of French Guiana? It was portrayed in the movie Papillion.
