Alas there is no one who will tie a man to the mast to withstand the siren call. Yes. The left has had taking down FOX on their to-do list for a long time. They've been termiting away internally and wooing the Murdochs. Kelly is the sleeper agent that administered what they hope is the coup de grâce.

Let the exodus begin. Ailes gets his $40 million parachute and the list of potential suitors begin lining up outside his estate.
The news business has not seen the last of Roger Ailes. With the proven talent he can pull from Fox, Ailes could literally launch a new channel and have it on top in 1-2 years (if not sooner), assuming his backers can get clearance and carriage on the required number of cable systems.
This will go down as one of the great blunders in television history, right up there with naming Conan O’Brien as host of the Tonight Show, and putting Jay Leno at 10 pm, five nights a week.
And you may be very surprised at who winds up backing Ailes new venture...
I’ll bet the consultancy agreement includes a non compete clause to foreclose the scenario you describe.
Or, more likely trying to make the shift while the news is otherwise filled with Trump’s speech.
... I find the timing of all of this quite suspect since it’s during the RNC and the Obama administration has made it well known the past few months that The One will take steps to ensure that evil Fox News tones down it’s divisive rhetoric.
I’m sure Bammy will take credit for this.
Gretchen is not much of a turn-on. She seems pretty stiff and fragile. A man with a taste for younger women and a discerning eye (such as I) would never proposition her.
Roger is probably going over to CNN where he can be himself.
Frankly, he likely should. He’s been after Fox for years.
Me aGyn’s motives may be in play, you know? I do wonder what she’s been promised. Look at her pix. Her expression over time has changed. In fact, rumor has it that she has said she will drive TrTump off TV, giving him no air time at all.

It is strange that after many months of praising Ailes for his support, coaching, etc, she turned on him.
This happens during RNC finale. They are trying to take back the news cycle.
