He could have never won the general election, even if he had become the nominee. It would have been the biggest Republican loss in history. He has no appeal beyond a certain mindset, and his religious stance (which I like when genuine - but Cruz comes off as a phony) would have brought out Democrats in full force.

I wanted to see an endorsement. This morning, Ted revealed that the real reason was personal. He may be a jerk for making an issue of it, but it seems to me that Trump shares responsibility for evidently not seeking any accommodation.

It will certainly drive up viewers to see what Trump will do. If he plays it right he comes off as Presidential.
Cruz has united the party against him. All the RINOs are now thanking God they have Trump rather than Cruz ( they probably thought that all along since they knew him personally ).
Trump ends up becoming the "sane" choice compared to the quivering shaking narcissistic a-hole who looks like Grandpa Munster.
