Cruz booed after refusing to support Trump
CNN ^ | July 21, 2016 | Theodore Schleifer and Stephen Collinson

Cruz's rebuke ignited a hot scene around the senator as soon as he left the stage. People averted their eyes from Cruz and his wife as they walked with their security detail on the skybox level of boisterous Republicans.

On the donor suite level, people approached Cruz and insulted him, a source told CNN's Dana Bash. One state party chairman reacted so angrily that he had to be restrained.

Cruz, who has long sought the support of GOP megadonor Sheldon Adelson, was turned away when he tried to enter Adelson's suite.

Andy Abboud, a senior aide to the Las Vegas casino magnate, said Cruz was initially invited to come up to visit the Adelsons, but when he failed to endorse Trump the invitation was rescinded...

I hope Trump helps fund a primary challenge to Cruz in 2018.

Trump tweeted that Cruz didn’t honor his pledge and that he’d seen the speech two hours before but let him speak anyway. “No big deal.”

Trump outsmarted Cruz. In a battle of wits with Trump, Cruz is unarmed.

Why in the world would that matter?

Cruz cut off his proverbial nose, today. He is finished.

Was not able to watch it live. I will later. I am hugely disappointed as I have been a supporter of Ted even before he announced he was running for President.

Gee. Even if Trump implied your dad was somehow involved with an assassination, couldn’t you at least endorse him against Hillary Clinton? She’s done worse.

Disappointed.

Trump’s Trap?!?!
What are you talking about?’

Trump graciously invited him to speak—no conditions attached.

Cruz could have honored his pledge...ah but he chose not to...No trap.

TED LOSER

It says a lot that he STILL meets with Beck, who’s a Lunatic who will go off sooner rather than later.

Worse than not showing good sportsmanship is the fact that he went back on his word. His character is that of a sewer rat. And he kinda resembles one too.

[He walked into TRUMPS trap]

NO. CRUZ tried to ambush TRUMP’S campaign. PROOF? This email was in my inbox. Needless to say, I pushed the UNSUBSCRIBE button.

OUR FIGHT GOES ON
It was an honor to speak to the delegates at the Republican National Convention. As our cause goes forward, I want to remind you about the stakes.

Americans are furious—rightly so—at a political establishment that cynically breaks its promises and ignores the will of the people.

But there is is a better vision for our future: a return to freedom. If we choose freedom, our future will be brighter.
Freedom will bring back jobs and raise wages. Freedom will lift people out of dependency and to the dignity of work.

47 years ago today, America put a man on the moon. That’s the power of freedom.
Our party was founded to defeat slavery.
Abraham Lincoln, the first Republican president, signed the Emancipation Proclamation.
We passed the Civil Rights Act, and fought to eliminate Jim Crow laws.
Those were fights for freedom, and so is this.

Will you stand with me by making an immediate donation $5, $10, $25, or whatever you can afford today?

This fight has never been about a particular candidate or campaign, but because each of us wants to be able to tell our kids and grandkids, that we did our best for their future, and for our country.

Chip in $5 >>>
Chip in $10 >>>
Chip in $25 >>>
Chip in $50 >>>

We must make the most of our moment – to fight for freedom, to protect our God-given rights, even of those with whom we don’t agree, so when we are old, and our work is done, we will be able to say, “Freedom matters, and I fought to save it.”

I promise to lead the fight for freedom and our liberty every day from the United States Senate.
We can do this.
But I can’t do it without you.

TED CRUZ

Couldn't have happened to a more deserving weasel.

Ted Cruz is a habitual liar.

Everyone except the most slavish among his slack-jawed faithful have know this, for quite some time.

Now the entire world knows it.

When reading the news about Cruz dissing Trump in his speech, I flashed back to McCain’s attempt to “unify” Americans during his concession speech where he assured his supporters that an Obama administration would be just fine....

So who is worse? McCain? or Cruz???

Seems to me that Trump is not the only one who will benefit from Backstabbing Cruz!

Beck to me is like Levin and Savage.
ALL BRILLIANT MEN
Beck and Savage can be entertaining too
but
sometimes one or more of them completely Jumps The Shark

I do undertand your feeling about Beck and especially right now since Beck has done his extreme anti-candidate BS for weeks and weeks already, to the point where I had to turn him off it got so bad

“I hope Trump helps fund a primary challenge to Cruz in 2018.”

IMHO, Ted did not do this alone. Jeremy Diamond (CNN) had a feed on Twitter showing the Utah delegation clapping and cheering during Cruz’s speech while other state delegates were booing. An elated Sen. Mike Lee was in the center of the Utah delegation.

I will remember Lee and send money to his opponent during his next bid for reelection.
