Heidi Cruz, wife of Texas Senator Ted Cruz, was reportedly rushed out of the Republican National Convention on Wednesday night after the crowd turned on her husband at the end of his speech.
Boos rained down on Ted Cruz as he issued a speech calling for people to vote on their "conscience" and declining to officially endorse Donald Trump, despite loud calls for him to do so from the crowd.
With her is Ken Cuccinelli, the former attorney general of Virginia, who has also been firmly anti-Trump.
Cuccinelli reportedly confirmed to journalists that he helped Heidi Cruz leave the scene after the speech out of concern for her safety.

The American way has always been to be gracious in victory and to be dignified in defeat, look to Lincoln and Lee. Too bad Cruz (sadly we share the same family name) didn’t learn this from his parents. Mine told me to work hard, study hard, keep my word and let it be my bond, and in America you can achieve your dreams! Oops, didn’t know my Eighty year old parents plagiarized Ms Obama before she was born.
Sadly Cruz should now graciously retire to private life and allow his governor to replace him with a statesman. I am sure there a true American in Texas known to the people, Cruz has belittled the dignity of his office.

I don’t get why she stays with the guy. He seldom comes home. She and his kids publicly shrink from his touch. She makes enough money to live like a Queen.

I reached the same conclusion. He is a construct, meant to undermine conservatives from within. That is the only way to explain the mishmash of words, deeds and positions that have come from him. Money is not the same as mainlining political power and prestige, however. She is a very proud woman. Now that he has destroyed himself, I think she will move on to some other prospects while she still has some allure.
I think he will just wither, dry up and mold like a forgotten orange at the back of the cabinet.

I’m glad I’m not the only one thinking that. The more I think about that smirk on his face, the more creepy it was.
I’m not trying to be dramatic but his smirk looked completely psycho, much like the smirk on a serial killer’s face in a movie.
I’m not saying Cruz is a serial killer but I’m honestly beginning to believe that he is mentally unbalanced and unpredictable.
I now understand why Heidi was found on the side of the highway, in a mental state, a few years ago. If I had to live with someone like him for years, I would probably lose it too.
I'm thinking he's having a breakdown. There can be no other reason to destroy his own career like this. The man has got to be smart enough to know the outcome.
