No. Unlike some FReepers, I think it’s wrong to call on people to leave FR because they have a difference of opinion on conservative or nationalist political candidates.
The real Ted Cruz was on display tonite, and he has done far more damage to himself than anything we could do.
Ted Cruz will have to explain his own actions, but I think more than a few of his supporters are horrified. No need to rub their noses in it. I got fooled by Ted, too. I just saw it sooner.
More than ANYTHING, I don't know about Democrats like you or people where you come from or people like you, but where I come from, and the way I was raised, a PLEDGE or an OATH is binding. There's no ambiguity. Cruz's worst lie is swearing an oath to God and then proving that his pledge and his signature were a lie, and that he is a man whose word can't be trusted, and in the end, ALL WE HAVE as men are the strength and truth of our WORD and our determination to make sure we never default upon it, as Cruz (and Kasich and others have.)
That---reneging on a pledge made on national TV before millions---is the lie of lies, a sin, and confirms that the man is not only not fit to be president, he has confirmed that we were right, he's not an American and not fit to be one, and has betrayed America with his lying about his oath.
Cruz Cult members have no place on FR. Look at posts on THIS thread---the Cult lies in every comment they post on THIS thread. They can't stop. They are so blindly following their cult leader that they themselves refuse to recognize truth and untruth. Please---all of you---show some dignity and self-respect and GO NOW and don't come back. You are beneath the minimum level of character required to associate with great men like Jim Rob and the other members here. Good by, good riddance, go to Canada, the Yukon, Montreal or Havana, but just go.
