“After speaking with several large operators and industry contacts, we believe the recent decline in casual dining restaurant segment fundamentals—traffic down 3% to 5% the past several weeks—may be the result of consumers eating more at home amid the current political/social backdrop, which we believe could last through the November election,” KeyBanc analysts wrote in a note published Tuesday.

I delivered pizzas in Denver, Co. Business was booming during the summer. People wanted to play outside and not cook inside. Therefore pizza delivery. During the winter...rotten luck...people saving money and eating inside cooking inside and too cold to be outside. Pizza delivery was seasonal. Far more during the summer.

The last three chain restaurants I ate at, prices were up and portions were down. Salads had shrunk. Had appetizers and a sandwich at a hotel bar - the grilled cheese sandwich was served without pickle or chips. Cheap of them. Why eat out?

“The Chef Boyardee kits?”

YES!!!

Every other Saturday night. It was a family tradition. And affordable. We ate a lot of spaghetti, too. Sauce made from fresh tomatoes that my Dad grew in the backyard.

Or people can’t afford bought pizza and have learned it hardly costs anything to make at home.

In my married days, the then-wife and I would make pizza from scratch. Had a stone, peel, various flours, etc.

Her ABM came in handy for having the dough somewhat ready during week nights.

I wouldn’t eat boyardee if i was starving to death.

After a few months of MRE's, you'd kill for a can of Chef Boyardee anything.

Thank GOD I live in a small berg no Black Lies Matter present, I just call my eldest and get one delivered, he manages the local Papa Johns, up for district supervisor.

We actually went out for Pizza last night, Hubby’s 77th BD and that is what his daughter usually chooses. When mine rolls around next month, I’m going for Longhorn’s RIBS.

The title is somewhat fuzzy. Was Papa John’s upgraded or upbraided?

Stock got upgraded. The pizza was no doubt upbraided. Worst pizza I’ve had.

I live in an area which is liberal free and is determined to stay that way, and when we order pizza, we get it from a local chain which will not hire liberals or other miscreants who would spit in our food. My sympathies go out to all the pizza deliverers who have to risk being attacked by liberals as part of their job.

You start out with a little bit of oil. Then you fry some garlic. Then you throw in some tomatoes, tomato paste, you fry it; ya make sure it doesn’t stick. You get it to a boil; you shove in all your sausage and your meatballs.
