Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Wednesday evening declared a three-month state of emergency following last week's failed coup, Sky News reported.

In a speech in which he announced the state of emergency, Erdogan warned there "may be more plans" from dissidents to try and overthrow the government again.

He added that the state of emergency was in order to "take the most efficient steps in order to remove this threat as soon as possible, which is a threat to democracy, to the rule of law, and to the rights and freedoms of citizens in our country".

From earlier today:

Standard & Poor’s has downgraded its credit rating for Turkey deeper into “junk” status, citing the failed coup and political turmoil.

The rating agency lowered its main sovereign rating for Turkey to BB/B from BB+/B, both of which are considered junk.

S&P said it expects a period of heightened unpredictability in the country and maintains a negative outlook, which indicates that further downgrades are possible.

Oblama is taking notes, after having carefully contributed to Erdogan's BS coup.

How many countries have moved into the pro-Sharia column since Oblama took office? Egypt is an anomaly, and about the ONLY outcome not favorable to the NWO cabal.

Well, isn’t this a surprise.

“The state of emergency would go into force after it is published in Turkey’s official gazette and would allow the president and cabinet to bypass parliament in passing new laws and to limit or suspend rights and freedoms as they deem necessary.”

After a century of suppressing radical Muslems it’s a very really possibility that Erdogan’s is struggling to be seen as radical enough for the blood thirsty zealots.

Erdogan may soon instigate a foreign conflict, point to a foreign enemy, just to now stabilize the situation within Turkey.

The "coup" was his "Reichstag Fire". Erdogan is doing everything Hitler did in 1933.
