Libertarian presidential candidate Gary Johnson hinted Wednesday that former Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush might be considering an endorsement.
"I can't say that we haven't had conversations," Johnson said in a Wednesday afternoon conversation on CNN from Cleveland. "But no push on the conversations."
Johnson said he has also had conversations with 2012 GOP nominee Mitt Romney.
When asked who initiated the conversations, Johnson replied, "Not me." When asked if the former Florida governor has called him, Johnson added quickly, "I don't want to — I want to protect the innocent.

Who would be the loser of such an endorsement?
Jeb.
It would be seen as divisive childish and petulant whining just when we do not want it (and we of the BASE resent being ignored). If Jeb can't be an adult (laughter) he confirms the feelings of us voters.

It might happen or it might not.
But the story did get Gary Johnson's name into the newspaper (or website).
Nobody will remember if Jeb Bush doesn't endorse Gary Johnson.
But every little bit of name recognition helps Johnson.
Not that he's going to win or anything, but just getting his name out there is a win for Gary.
Exhibit A: Terry Schiavo.
How he thought he could possibly win over Republican primary voters after that tragedy is beyond me.
Maybe he can give Gary all 3 of his delegates.

However I don’t know if it hurts Trump if it is public knowledge that Bush is raising money for the Libertarians. Perot had people believe in him. I think the Bush name is pretty toxic among voters. Perhaps Johnson just can’t keep his mouth shut.

He can also,sink the political future of his son, George P, in Texas. I say go for it, Jeb! Kill off the Bush political dynasty
